So you've reached a point in the game where you are ready to pack up and move, but now you are wondering how on earth you are going to move all of your storage and build a whole new base, right? Don't worry, Dune actually makes this process super simple - this guide has you covered.
First of all you will of course want to decide on a new base location. If you're still in Hagga Basin South then check out our best base location guide for some good spots.
Pack Up Your Things
Just like in real life, you need to pack up your life before moving to your new home. We actually advise you to stick with your starting base until you have unlocked the Sandbike because this will make it much, much easier.
One of the modules you can attach to your Sandbike is the 'Sandbike Inventory Mk1'. Although you are not required to attach this to your Sandbike as part of the primary questline, you'll want to fabricate it when it's time to move.
Fabricate it, attach it to your bike using the Welding Torch and then when facing your bike hit 'More' (F key on keyboard) and select open Inventory. Fill it up with all of your crafting materials and other heavy items.
Finally, empty your storage boxes into your own Inventory, maxing out the space and weight you have. I managed to move all of my stuff across in a single run but if you have a lot, you might need to make two runs.
Take a Projection (Copy) of your Base
There is a really awesome tool within Dune Awakening called the Solido Replicator. You can research this within the 'Construction' section of the Research menu, it's the last item in the Salvage Products list.
Research it, fabricate it (for 20 Salvaged Metal) and then equip it to one of your action bar slots from your Inventory. Equip it and step outside of your base, then aim it at your base and hit 'Copy Building'. This will now save a 'projection' of your building which you can use to instantly rebuild your base again in a new location. You can unequip the Solido Replicator and it will save this projection until you remove it.
Deconstruct Your Old Base
Now that you're packed up and ready to go, with a projection of your base already stored, it's time to say goodbye to your old home and deconstruct it to get all of your materials back.
Simply take out your construction tool, navigate to 'Demolish' (right click on mouse to move through the menu) and begin demolishing.
Pro Tip: If you weren't able to fit everything into your bike and inventory, you might want to wait until you've managed to move everything out of your storage into your new home before demolishing! You will also need a lot of space for the resources you get from demolishing your base.
Build Your New Base
You're ready to move! Simply set down your Sub-Fief where you want to place your new base, take out our Solido Replicator and build the projection.
