Micro-sandwich Fabric is a fairly common crafting material/resource in Dune Awakening that is primarily used to craft Stillsuits, medical supplies and water storage items.
Micro-sandwich Fabric can be found exactly where the tooltip suggests: "Look for these in caves." Caves are indeed the most reliable way to go about farming Micro-sandwich Fabric. However, they can also be purchased from various Vendors.

Buying Micro-sandwich Fabric From A Vendor

Micro-sandwich Fabric is a very easy-to-buy resource. You will find it at the following locations:
- Pinnacle Station Merchant
- Crossroads Merchant
- Griffin’s Reach Merchant
- The Anvil Merchant
- Harko Village Scrap Trader
- Arrakeen Scrap Trader
Each vendor will sell you a limited stock of 50 Micro-sandwich Fabric at a cost of 750 each.
Alternatively, you can of course also just buy them directly from the Exchange, so it's worth checking to see what's available there first.
Farming Micro-sandwich Fabric in Dune Awakening
You can find Micro-sandwich Fabric inside all caves throughout Hagga Basin and in the Deep Desert. You will receive a few automatically when you destroy the fabric/moisture-sealing entrances but you will find it more easily within the loot containers within caves.

The Small Ultra Rare chest in Shaitan's Grotto, located south of the Wreck of the Delphis, is an excellent spot, as it can contain dozens of Micro-sandwich Fabric.
Lastly, similar to other resources, the Deep Desert is ideal for farming Micro-sandwich Fabric. The caves in the Deep Desert, especially in the early PvE rows, are not often checked by most other players who are often there for higher-tier loot.
