Deep Desert Testing Station Guide - The Hidden Garden

Deep Desert Testing Station Guide - The Hidden Garden

Written by MJM - 23rd July 2025

The 'Hidden Garden' Testing Station can appear in either the PVE or PVP section of the Deep Desert and contains a single lock-in. It has a cool purple, flora-filled aesthetic. Look up when in the main combat chamber for some cool views.

Warning: This Testing Station is designed for small groups, but can be done solo. However you will be locked in to multiple rooms where you will encounter many waves of enemies. We recommend at least a Mk5 Weapon, Power Pack & Shield.

  • Length: ~25
  • Challenge: 1 Lock-ins, ~6 Waves
  • Solo Difficulty: Medium

The Hidden Garden Testing Station - Map & Route

The Hidden Garden Testing Station is short and has a simple layout leading to a single combat chamber.

Reaching the Lock-in

Progress down through the stairs as normal until you reach a circular room. This room will lead off to a corridor that contains a sealed door. Scan, then melt the locks with your Cutteray to proceed.

Following this corridor further you will reach a green shield door. Once you pass through this green shield door you will be locked in to this room until you defeat the ~6 waves of enemies.

Combat Section - Lock-in

Compared to some of the other Testing Stations, this combat section is quite easy thanks to the size and layout of the room. There is loads of space to kite the enemies and block line of sight.

You'll want to pull the melee enemies away first, behind a pillar or other structure, so you can parry and slow blade them down.

Next, move onto the unshielded enemies before finally dealing with the machine gun and flamethrower 'heavies' last. The last two waves are quite challenging with around 10-12 enemies each.

Reward Room & ID Band

Once you've cleared the waves, a shield door will unlock off of the combat room. It's a small room which contains the Purple ID Band. Grab it and then head back towards the entrace.

The 'Reward Room' is behind a purple locked shield door in the first room you enter after coming down the stairs at the start.
