Welcome to our Druid Leveling Guide for World of Warcraft Forever. I’m Birra or ‘BirraGzeez’, a healer in the top-20 raiding guild Honolulu.

This guide will cover everything you need to know to level a Druid in WoW Forever, including an overview of Druid Strengths and Weaknesses, a Leveling Talents Build for Druid, the best Professions for a Druid, and tips to help you progress through your leveling journey as smoothly as possible.

This guide will be updated throughout Beta and post-launch, as there are so many undiscovered mysteries in WoW Forever still.

Strengths & Weaknesses of Druid in WoW Forever

Recommended Leveling Talents For Druid

Level 30

Here are the suggested talents that I would suggest you prioritize up to Level 30 as a Druid.

Tip: Remember to visit your class trainer regularly. New abilities and higher ranks of existing spells become available at every even-numbered level, starting from level 4.

Level 60

I expect that the full leveling build will look something like this, however please note that we are still in the testing phase, and further tuning or balance changes could change the recommended talents before release. This section will be updated once the game is fully released and the final talent trees are established.

Best Races for Druid in WoW Forever

There are 3 Races for Druids in WoW Forever to choose from:

• Night Elf for the Alliance
• Tauren for the Horde
• Skyborne for both factions

For a full breakdown of the Racial Abilities that each Race has, check out our Racial Abilities guide. There are no bad options here, and all races are perfectly viable for Restoration.

However, if you want to go for the most optimal choice, we recommend Tauren for Horde if you plan to PvP or play Bear Tank, and Skyborne for PvE Cat and Balance Druid. For Alliance, Skyborne is the recommended choice.

Druid Playstyle and Core Abilities

As a Druid, you have three spec options: Feral, Balance, and Restoration.

The fastest and most popular choice for leveling is Feral; you will be shapeshifting between Bear Form and Cat Form using energy and rage to defeat enemies.

For leveling, it is highly recommended to go with a Feral specialization; you won't need healing talents to run dungeons, just suitable gear, primarily pieces with Intellect and Spirit. I therefore recommend this specialization, as it will allow you to chain-kill mobs while conserving as much mana as possible.

General Tips

The following will apply throughout your entire leveling journey:

• Keep Mark of the Wild and Thorns active on yourself at all times.
• Don't hesitate to change form if necessary; adapt to each situation in order to survive.
• Typically you will want to pull one enemy at a time. Pulling multiple mobs should be intentional, when you know you have the tools to handle them.
• Use Healing Touch/Regrowth and/or Rejuvenation as needed to restore your health between pulls.
• Nature’s Grasp can be a useful escape tool, giving you a chance to flee from enemies, while Entangling Roots can help make a difficult pull more manageable by keeping extra mobs at a distance.

Level 1-10 Playstyle

During the first 10 levels, you will be spamming Wrath and keeping up Moonfire on the target, filling up with auto attacks when you run out of mana, and maintaining your health with Rejuvenation.

Level 10-20 Playstyle

At level 10, you will unlock Bear Form following a quest (covered in the final section).

The rotation looks something like this:

For single target: x2 Wrath into Moonfire into Bear Form when the target is close, Enrage > Demoralizing Roar to decrease nearby enemies' melee attack power, then Maul it to death.

For multi-target: Go into Bear Form, use Enrage > Demoralizing Roar, and use Swipe.

Level 20-30 Playstyle

At level 20, you will unlock Cat Form after completing a short quest chain. Always use it in combat unless you need additional survivability, in which case switch to Bear Form.

Combo Points: Note that Combo Points don't transfer between targets, but no longer drop when target swapping like back in Classic WoW.

The rotation is as follows:

Enter Cat Form and use Prowl to stealth before opening with Shred from behind the target. Apply Faerie Fire to reduce the target’s armor, then use Tiger’s Fury if available. Follow up with Rake, then use Claw to build Combo Points. Once you have enough combo Points, use Rip if the target is expected to live long enough for the bleed to run its full duration; otherwise, continue spamming Claw until the target dies.

You can Feral Charge (Cat) to close the gap or Feral Charge as Bear to interrupt casters.

Key Spells & Leveling Milestones for Druid

Druids have a huge number of spells you acquire as you level so we recommend visiting your Trainer often to ensure you are maintaining the highest ranks for your abilities. The table below highlights some of the major abilities you can learn.

Best / Suggested Professions for Druid

We still have a lot to learn about professions in WoW Forever but any of the following profession combos should be a solid choice for Druids.

1. Leatherworking and Skinning

A very good option if you mainly play alone in order to create equipment or even resell some excess leather, materials, or crafted items to other players for additional gold.

2. Mining and Engineering

This is another very solid choice, as almost everything related to this profession will always be useful to you! Mining provides the materials needed for engineering, while engineering gives you a wide range of useful items, including bombs, crafted gear and trinkets, goblin gliders, target dummies, and much more.

Engineering is expected to remain useful throughout the game, making the items you craft relevant well beyond the leveling process.

3. Herbalism and Alchemy

It is the best choice for those who want to make gold by selling potions or herbs on the auction house, but also to save gold by producing your own potions and other consumables.

4. Secondary professions

You can take these alongside your two primary professions. Cooking for example, provides useful buffs both while leveling and in the endgame.
