Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons are a valuable late-game resource in Dune Awakening, required for crafting end-game engines for your vehicles. You'll want to craft your Scout Ornithopter Mk6 Engine as early as possible for the significant speed boost.
Like many high-tier resources in Dune, Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons can only be found in the Deep Desert, however they can also be crafted in an Advanced Survival Fabricator.

Where To Find Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons
Finding Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons - Deep Desert Caves
This is the easiest way to obtain Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons. There are many caves throughout the Deep Desert and, especially as you venture further (beyond Row E for example), you will find that the Caves contain valuable crafting materials.
Within a single cave, which only takes a couple of minutes to clear, you can find 10-15 Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons.
Finding Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons - Deep Desert Wrecks
One of your other options, though it is significantly more challenging, is to find them in Deep Desert Wrecks. These are shown on the map in the same way as the green 'Wreck' icons that we see in Hagga Basin.
Keep in mind that these Wrecks are always PVP-enabled and contain very challenging enemies. You can just sprint through them if you know the layout but there are also often rooms which require you to clear the enemies before you can exit.
Crafting Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons
You can also obtain Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons fairly easily by crafting them. The kicker here however is that you will need an Advanced Survival Fabricator which, amongst other materials, is going to set you back 45 Spice Melange and 140 Plastanium Ingots.
Once you have your Advanced Survival Fabricator up and running however, this can be a great way to produce Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons. You will need the following, per Piston:
- 3 Hydraulic Pistons
- 2 Plasteel Plate
- 1 Duraluminum Ingot
- 50 Water

Buying Tri-forged Hydraulic Pistons From The Exchange
Finally, you do of course have the option of buying them from other players on the Exchange (Auction House) in Arrakeen or Harko Village. At the time of writing, these are selling for 20,000 Solari per piece however, so it's probably going to sting your wallet.
