Plasteel Microflora Fiber is a key resource when it comes to crafting weapons in Dune Awakening. With that in mind, it’s a hard resource to get hold of, and one that may see you enter contested territory.
That’s right, Plasteel Microflora Fiber requires some PvP action. Though most players tend to leave you alone, we suspect that it is because people either have better things to do or have no idea you can PvP in these areas.
Pro tip: Having a Static Compactor is really useful here.
How to Farm Plasteel Microflora Fiber
First, we need to understand where this item spawns. In the early zones, you’ll find it exclusively on the large downed ships in each zone. This means, however, that you will be in PvP while you try to get your hands on it.
In this section, we will focus on one of the easier spots to farm Plasteel Microflora Fiber, provided that other players stay away.
First, head to the downed ship shown in the map images above. Enter one of the two sides of the ship, and deal with any enemies in your way.
Then, as shown above, head to the rocks on the opposite side of the ship to pick up your entry chip to enter through the locked door of the ship.
Here is where you’ll either need to be patient, lucky, or good at PvP. Once you enter the ship, you’ll find it in one of a few states. If you’re lucky, the enemies are dead, and the loot boxes are open.
Sadly, that probably won’t be the case, so you’ll need to be prepared. There are traps in the room that will require a Static Compactor. You first learn about this item during the Second Trail of ACL, and then you use it during the Flour Sand quest.
Once inside, there are two chests, one to your left that is surrounded by fire, so use that Static Compactor. The other is behind a door, so make sure you destroy it. You can also climb over the gate to the right. The larger chest is covered in poison, and has a fire canister in front of it, so be careful where you shoot. Again, the Static Compactor will deal with it.
And that’s it for that specific site. You can find Plasteel Microflora Fiber at any of the downed ships in each region, just remember the PvP. There is one other way to get it, however.
Head to the Shops
Once you enter the second zone and head to the vendor, you’ll be able to buy Plasteel Microflora Fiber for 750 Solari each. This is not the best way to farm them, however, if you want to avoid any chance of PvP then this isn’t the worst idea.
