Dune Awakening Scourge Event: How To Start It, How To Earn Blood Marks & All Rewards

The Scourge is a limited-time event that launched in Dune Awakening on 23rd October and will run until 2nd November.

The event involves completing various activites to earn Blood Marks which can then be traded in for event rewards. This short guide explains how it all works, what you need to do and what rewards you can earn.

How Do You Start The Scourge Event In Dune Awakening?

You can pick up the initial contract from an NPC called Frida Maltros who you can find within a tent at the various Hagga Basin Trade Posts. If you cannot find her there, she is also at Shaffat's Clinic in Arrakeen.

Speak with Frida and you'll receive your first contract, starting the event.

The Scourge Event: Contracts

The first two contracts are essential, as you only unlock the reward store after completing the second contract.

Containment: Vital Equipment

Upon speaking to Frida, you will receive a contract called Containment: Vital Equipment which sends you to Hagga Basin to locate a wreck and collect medical supplies.

You'll find the wreck in Eastern Vermillius Gap, just west of the The Stash. Interact with the container near the crash site.

Bugs: Note that at the time of writing this contract is bugged on some Sietches. The wreck did not appear for me on my home Sietch and I had to change Sietch fives times before it appeared.

Once you have the supplies head back to Frida at a Trade Post or the Shaffat Clinic in Arrakeen to receive the next contract.

Eyes Of The Kirab

Now it's time to head back to Hagga Basin to collect 5 Kirab Eyes. You can loot Kirab Eyes from any Kirab enemy that is glowing yellow.

If you are unlucky then you might have to travel to quite a few different Kirab camps to get the 5 eyes.

I've posted an image below from our old 'Kill Kirab' guide below which shows the location and density of Kirab enemies throughout Eastern Vermillius Gap.

Collect the 5 Kirab Eyes and turn the contract in to Frida Maltros at a Trade Post or the Shaffat Clinic in Arrakeen.

This will unlock the shop (which you access by speaking to Frida) and is the last contract available at the time of writing, though we expect more are coming over the next few days.

The Scourge Event: How To Earn & Spend Blood Marks

Essentially the core loop of the event involves two main activities to earn Blood Marks which can then be spent on rewards:

1. Complete contracts which reward Blood Marks
2. Harvest and deposit blood to receive Blood Marks
3. Spend Blood Marks for buildables and cosmetic items

Converting blood into Blood Marks

At Shaffat's Clinic in Arrakeen, you can deposit blood from your blood bag into the blood purifier in order to immediately obtain Blood Marks.

This can be repeated and awards 1 Blood Mark for every 1,000 blood deposited.

Tip: The Baron's Bloodbag is the largest blood sack in the game with a capacity of 30,000 litres. You can fill this extremely easily by killing enemies with Feyd's Drinker, which awards 1,000 blood per kill.

Scourge Event Rewards

The rewards that are part of the Scourge event (as of 23rd October) consist of buildables and cosmetic items, all of which are all outlined below.

The total cost for all of the one-off purchase items (so excluding the multi-use consumable) is 2,400 Blood Marks.
