Dune Awakening Buildings from Storage Boxes
So, to cut a long story short, yes, you can build within your base from the storage boxes that you place. This doesn’t extend to your other bases, however, but that might be a bit too much to expect.
However, base storage does extend to your production buildings. If you store power cells or copper ore, etc inside a storage box, your production facilities can also extract resources and use them to make higher-value items.
This also extends into the construction buildings, allowing you to fabricate items, vehicles, weapons, etc.
Overall, it’s a great quality-of-life upgrade that makes things so much easier. You can restrict how other users can interact with your base, so you can also control who gets to access your stuff.
Dune Awakening Moving Storage
Another nice quality-of-life upgrade is that you don’t need to empty your storage to move it around your base. This is especially useful when you start out, as you can throw down storage boxes and worry about making it look tidy later.
While early storage boxes are fairly small, they increase over time, and you can still organise your base well.
With the above information about building from storage, it means that you can put building material storage out the way. In our first base, we had planned to put that storage in a basement, treating it like a warehouse so we can focus on the aesthetic of our actual base.
