Dune Awakening Best Vehicle Parts Tier List

Dune Awakening Best Vehicle Parts Tier List

Written by MJM - 18th July 2025

Vehicles are an essential part of our tool kit on Arrakis and make life easier in many ways, from traversing the skies in our Ornithopter to flash farming ores with the Buggy. Unique vehicle parts can, in some cases, dramatically improve our vehicles.

Unique vehicle components are a little odd compared to other end-game uniques though. Unique weapons and armor are, in most cases, just better in every way than their standard counterparts but vehicle parts often contain a noticeable negative component too.

In addition, some of the unique vehicle parts are either confusing or just lacklustre, so we hope this list can help you when you come to think about whether or not certain Schematics are worth pursuing in the Deep Desert or the Landsraad.

Note: This Tier List will be a living Tier List, updated as we have the opportunity to try out more vehicle parts (when they appear in the Deep Desert Loot Tables).

Dune Awakening Best Vehicle Parts - Tier List

This Tier List excludes vehicle parts belonging to the Sandcrawler or Carrier Ornithopter vehicles to keep the discussion streamlined and valuable for the majority of players.

S-Tier Discussion

The best items in the game, universally useful and a top priority in the Landsraad.

Focused Buggy Cutteray Mk6

Source, stats & crafting info available at our Focused Buggy Cutteray Mk6 database page.

The Focused Buggy Cutteray is the pinnacle of ore farming in Dune Awakening. It mines pretty much all ore and materials with a 25-30% increased yield when compared to the standard Mk6 Buggy Cutteray. Importantly, compared to many other vehicle components, it has virtually no downside since the increased heat generation is negligible in reality.

This is a must-have item as you reach the endgame in order to maximise the efficiency of your mining operations. The Focused Buggy Cutteray Mk6 will yield over 1,000 Fuel Cells from a single Fuel Cell node.

A-Tier Discussion

Powerful or useful items, but usually somewhat niche or situational.

Bigger Buggy Boot Mk6

Source, stats & crafting info available at our Bigger Buggy Boot Mk6 database page.

The Buggy is an ore harvesting machine and as such, its storage typically fills up very quickly. The Bigger Buggy Boot does what it says on the tin, it's a bigger storage unit offering an extra 500v (3,500 vs 3,000) and an extra 15 storage slots (35 vs 20).

Most of the time you will max out weight before storage slots anyway but if you are farming Fuel Cells, Salvaged Metal etc then the extra slots might come in handy. We drop this in A-tier instead of S-Tier because although very useful, the standard Buggy Storage Module is already huge at 3,000v.

Bluddshot Buggy Engine Mk6

Source, stats & crafting info available at our Bluddshot Buggy Engine Mk6 database page.

This Buggy Engine one might not seem great at first glance, actually lowering the speed of the Buggy by 10km/h, however it increases the Acceleration of the Buggy and when we actually think about how we use the Buggy, the Acceleration is a more valuable stat.

When you are out on a mining run with the Buggy, you are constantly stopping and starting as you harvest each node, so the increased Acceleration makes a big difference. This is especially true when you are farming the clusters of Titanium & Stravidium nodes in the Deep Desert.

Stormrider Boost Module Mk6

Source, stats & crafting info available at our Stormrider Boost Module Mk6 database page.

The Stormrider Boost Module Mk6 is a modest but well received upgrade over the standard Scout Ornithopter Thruster Mk6. It generates 25 less Extra Heat (125 vs 150), allowing you to boost for longer.

Given the huge speed boost that the Scout Ornithopter receives when boosting in Vulture mode, the longer we can spend boosting the better. Great for those runs to/from Hagga (before switching to Storage) or when out on PVE/exploration missions.

Steady Assault Boost Module Mk6

Source, stats & crafting info available at our Steady Assault Boost Module Mk6 database page.

The Steady Assault Boost Module Mk6 is very similar to the Stormrider Boost Module Mk6, but for the Assault Ornithopter. It simply generates less Extra Heat (125 vs 150) when it is in use, allowing you to boost for longer.

The Assault Ornithopter does not benefit from boost when gliding like the Scout Ornithopter does, but it can be equipped alongside a Storage Module and is great for quickly regaining altitude.

B-Tier Discussion

Decent items, situationally useful but probably not worth going out of your way for.

Hummingbird Wing Module Mk6

Source, stats & crafting info available at our Hummingbird Wing Module Mk6 database page.

The Hummingbird Wing Module Mk6 wings improve the Turn Rating and Agility of the Assault Ornithopter. The Turn Rating is increased to 7 (from 5) and Agility is increased to 6 (from 4).

The Assault Ornithopter is notoriously clunky, so although the improvement provided by these wings is fairly minor, we'll take what we can get when it comes to better manoeuvrability. Glide speed remains the same at 160.

TBD Discussion

Albatross Wing Module Mk6

Source, stats & crafting info available at our Albatross Wing Module Mk6 database page.

IMPORTANT: The following information is based on user reports, videos etc but we wanted to keep them in the TBD tier until we've actually had a chance to test them properly ourselves.

We arrive at the infamous and oft discussed Albatross Wing Module Mk6! This item has caused endless confusion thanks to its tooltip which suggests that it is "designed for speed" and yet it has the exact same Glide Speed as the standard wings.

On top of that, it has a worse Turn Rating (8 vs 10) and Agility (9 vs 10). So are these wings really that awful? Well the answer is no - they are not as bad as these stats would suggest.

The Albatross Wing Module Mk6 wings are reported to actually slightly increase your engine speed, improving the ascent/climbing speed slightly. It is also reported that the wings also reduce altitude loss when gliding (we are still to test this) but considering the standard Mk6 wings can actually gain altitude while gliding over long distances, this allong wouldn't justify an upgrade.

These wings cost a hefty 200 Spice Melange to craft so you are going to need to be very careful when using them in the Deep Desert.
