All Travel Routes in WoW Forever (Boats, Zeppelins, Trams & Portals)

Written by Geekmandem - 14th October 2026

There are a number of new travel routes in WoW Forever which make traversing Azeroth much easier; the Alliance in particular have been given some serious attention. Not only are there new travel routes, but we also have the introduction of Stormwind Harbour!

WoW Forever does not contain any flying at all (outside of Flight Points) so travel routes are essential to cross large distances quickly.

In this guide, we've mapped out every route by faction, and also the neutral routes.

The following map shows all of the travel routes for Alliance in WoW Forever, including Ships/Boats, Trams & Portals.

These are the following Alliance travel routes:

  1. Stormwind Harbour ↔ Auberdine: Stormwind Harbour is new in Forever.
  2. Stormwind ↔ Ironforge: via the Deeprun Tram.
  3. Auberdine → Menethil → Southshore → Auberdine: One-way looping route.
  4. Menethil ↔ Theramore
  5. Rut’theran Village ↔ Auberdine
  6. Feathermoon Stronghold ↔ Forgotten Coast
  7. Zephras Isle ↔ Dalaran

Even if you don't have a direct route, you can use these routes you can plan longer trips to get to where you need to go.

For example if you wanted to get to Stormwind from Theramore you could take the boat to Auberdine and then from Auberdine to Stormwind.

WoW Forever Horde Travel Routes - Zeppelins & Portal

These are the following Horde travel routes:

  1. Orgrimmar ↔ Undercity: Outside Orgrimmar main gate to north of the Undercity in Tirisfal Glades.
  2. Undercity ↔ Grom’gol. The tower sits in the camp in Stranglethorn. Also the best way for the Horde to get the new Duskwood Torch.
  3. Orgrimmar ↔ Grom’gol. Another way for the Horde to get to STV.
  4. Zephras Isle ↔ Skywatcher Plateau

As Horde, getting to central Eastern Kingdoms is quite challenging and you'll likely find yourself taking the new Steamwheedle Port boat over to the Riverglades.

WoW Forever Neutral Travel Routes - Boats

These are the following neutral travel routes:

  1. Ratchet to Booty Bay. The classic neutral boat.
  2. Steamwheedle Port to Powderfuse Port: New route from Tanaris to the Riverglades.

Skyborne Travel Options

Skyborne start on Zephras Isle up in the Skywall, and you can leave anytime, even at Level 1. Follow the road from the starting area down to Valanaar, the town at the southern end, and hop on the boat. Where it takes you depends on your faction, but the correct docks are marked.

Alliance Skyborne

From Zephras Isle, Alliance Skyborne can take the ship to Dalaran and from there, there is a Skyborne-only portal to Stormwind. This makes it super easy to meet up with friends in the human starting zones.

Horde Skyborne

From Zephras Isle, Horde Skyborne get a scenic cruise past Thunder Bluff before landing at Skywatcher Plateau, on the border of Mulgore and Desolace. There's no portal on the Horde side, and no quick way to Orgrimmar or the Valley of Trials, so you'll mostly be levelling alongside the Tauren to start with.

Travel Tips in WoW Forever

  • Guards beside the travel routes (boats, zeppelins etc) will tell you where the transport is heading.
  • For Hardcore players, these new travel options offer a great way to make levelling easier without risking death across dangerous routes.
