Kill Atreides House Troops Landsraad Task in Dune Awakening: Where To Find & Kill Atreides House Troops

Written by MJM - 28th July 2025

The 'Kill Atreides House Troops' is one of the most challenging Landsraad Tasks. This is because Atreides House Troops are mostly found within the Deep Desert Shield Wall and are pretty tough.

Atreides House Troops are enemy NPCs that are hostile to both factions (just like Slavers, Scavengers etc) and in addition to the Deep Desert, can also be found at Atreides Strongholds and Wrecks within Hagga Basin.

As with all 'killing' Tasks, each kill of an Atreides House Troop will award 23 points which means that you will need 457 kills for the Tier 4 Reward and 609 kills for the Armor Swatch.

At A Glance:

  • Task Difficulty: Hard
  • Location: Western Shield Wall (Hagga Basin), Deep Desert Shield Wall
  • Duration: 4-5 hours+

Where To Find Atreides House Troops in Dune Awakening

As briefly mentioned in the intro, Atreides House Troops can be found in a few different locations. All of these are listed below.

Atreides House Troops In The Deep Desert Shield Wall (Row A)

If you want to complete this quest with any sort of speed or efficiency, there will be no avoiding the Deep Desert I am afraid. By far the most Atreides House Troops can be found within Row A of the Deep Desert.

Note: Although these enemies are not as hard as the enemies in the later sections of the Deep Desert, they are still tough and I'd suggest you come equipped with, at minimum, Mk5 weapons, armor, Shield and Power Pack.

You will find the Atreides House Troops on the Eastern side of the Deep Desert Shield Wall, in Row A5 to Row A9. There are three Testing Stations and Three Wrecks.

By clearing an entire run in the Deep Desert, you'll be able to kill around 45-50 Atreides House Troops, resulting in just over 1,000 points.

Atreides House Troops In The Western Shield Wall, Hagga Basin

There are two Atreides Strongholds which are home to Atreides House Troops within Hagga Basin. These are the Passage of Artemis and The Aegis.

Both of these Strongholds are found right at the top of the map and are distinctive from other Strongholds by their Atreides-style structures, locations shown below.

As you can see, there are only ~15 or so Atreides Troops between the two locations so you'll only get about 350 points from each run of the Western Shield Wall.

Atreides House Troops In Sheol (Wreck of the Euporia)

The only other fixed location where you can find Atreides House Troops is in Sheol. At the Wreck of the Euporia down in the very bottom left of the map, there are around 3-4 Atreides House Troops guarding the wreck.

If you are heading to Sheol, remember to take a Radiation Suit.

Atreides House Troops in Assault Squads Throughout Hagga Basin

Finally, you will sometimes find Atreides House Troops launching an assault on other Strongholds throughout Hagga Basin, for example the Slaver Strongholds in Jabal Eifrit Al-janub. If you have cleared all of the other locations and are waiting for respawns, you could also check those.

The assault squads typically consist of 5-6 Atreides House Troops.

Tips To Save Time

As with all 'Killing' Landsraad Tasks, you'll want to follow these tips to save yourself time and maximise your efficiency:

  • Use a Scout Ornithopter with the highest level Wings, Engine and Thruster (Boost Module) that you can craft;
  • Craft the highest level melee weapon that you can as this is the fastest way to kill Atreides House Troops;
  • Ensure your items are fully repaired (especially your Shield, Power Pack and Suspensor Belt);
  • Ensure you have a Literjon stocked up with plenty of water before you go; and
  • Just 'loot all' and then sort out the loot when you get back to your base.
