As you progress in the open world of Dune Awakening, you'll be tasked with finding Griffin's Reach Tradepost as part of the "A Wider World" quest chain.
If, like us, you spent your early hours in Dune Awakening running off and doing side activities then you might be a bit lost when the game suddenly asks you to find Gryphon's Reach Tradepost, as if it's a location we should already know.

Griffin's Reach Tradepost Location
Griffin's Reach Tradepost is exactly what it says on the tin; a tradepost. But more importantly, it's our first real chance to interact with a non-hostile NPC. Griffin's Reach also allows us to buy and sell resources and introduces the contract system in the game.
Above, you can see the location of Griffin's Reach, so it's easy to see why you might have missed it. The game orients the player towards the East side of the region first, and prior to scanning the region in the prior quest, it would be impossible to know you need to actually head West.
So, head to the West side of the map, towards the Northern border between the South Hagga Basin region (where we start). When you approach from the East, you can clearly see the Tradepost's large receiver tower on top of the hill.
Now, just head up to the tower to begin to explore this new location. Getting to the location is fairly easy, and if you are playing as the Trooper class, you can actually grapple fairly easily to save a lot of time.
Pro tip: Griffin's Reach Tradepost is a fantastic location for a base, as you'll probably notice as you start to head towards the location, as starter bases likely surround it.
When you finally arrive at the Tradepost, you'll be greeted by a trader and a contract board. The contract board is your main reason for being here for now, as this quest chain will lead you to eventually unlock your first mode of transportation, which isn't just your feet. If you've been scavenging well before arriving at the Tradepost, you can actually do most of the quests back-to-back. Once you are done with the initial quests, you will then be given new quests that will help you get your bike. This is also when having a base nearby comes in handy.

Can you go straight to the Tradepost?
Yes, you can, and the game even somewhat encourages it when you don't do the tutorial mode (research open) - while the quest directing you there will unlock as it normally would, the contract board and traders will work as intended.
Can you buy vehicles at the Tradepost?
You can't buy a vehicle at the Griffin's Reach Tradepost. However, it will feature many contracts that require you to build the parts of a bike. It's effectively the tutorial on how to make a bike.
Are there other players at the Tradepost?
Yes, other players will be visible at the Tradepost, and a phasing similar to World of Warcraft will be used to avoid overcrowding the area.
