The 'Spice Silo' Testing Station is a Deep Desert Testing Station that can appear in either the PVE or PVP zone. This is because it only features one 'lock-in' room with around 5 waves of enemies. It's quite large but also fairly simple. It also uniquely features several piles of Spice towards the end.
Warning: This Testing Station is designed for small groups, but can be done solo. However you will be locked in a room where you will encounter many waves of enemies. We recommend at least a Mk5 Weapon, Power Pack & Shield.
- Length: ~25-30 Minutes
- Challenge: 1 Lock-in, 5 Waves
- Solo Difficulty: Medium
The Spice Silo Testing Station - Map & Route
This route is fairly linear and easy to follow, featuring two levels and one 'lock-in' room.
Reaching The Lock-in
The entrance to this Testing Station is pretty much the same as all others, head down the stairs until you enter the first main room, you'll find a cutteray door at the end. Scan it, break the locks and continue through.
You'll find two unshielded, ranged enemies in the corridor, either kill them or run past them, it doesn't really matter. Can be a nice little warm up to take them down!
Head down the spiral staircase until you see the green shield door.
Combat Section - Locked Room
The combat section in this Testing Station is about medium difficulty. You only have to face 5 waves and the first 3 waves are pretty easy with only a handful of enemies. It does ramp up quite a lot in wave 4 and 5 but the room is great to allow you to outmanoeuvre the enemies.
You will want to make really good use of the side room that breaks off from the main room. This will be your 'safe zone' where you bait the melee enemies and parry + slow blade them to thin the ranks.
Be patient and keep moving, don't get pinned down and slowly pick them off.
Purple ID Band & Reward Room
Once you clear all of the waves, the green shield door at the opposite end of the room (from where you entered) will unlock. Head up the spiral staircase and follow the corridor along to the reward room.
There's a bunch of Spice mounds along the way here that you can collect, each contain around ~100 Spice so it's not anything crazy but still a nice little addition to the loot.
Grab your reward, grab the Purple ID Band from the same room and then it's time to get outta there!
