The Head to Scholastone Quest is a main story quest in Chapter 4 of the game, which will task you with finding the location of the Scholastone Institute. We start off by getting some clothing from Fence, but the tricky part is getting past the "hidden" wall.
In this guide, we'll quickly explain how to bypass this section so you can continue on with the rest of this relatively simple quest.
Head to Scholastone Location
Requirement: Scholastone Uniform (rewarded at the start of the quest)
From Hernand City, you want to head Southwest, roughly directly south of the "R" in Hernand on the map. If you have the teleport location at Greymane Camp, go there and travel West directly, as it is slightly faster.
Note: On the way, you can do a really simple puzzle for a free Abyss Artifact called "Azure Moon Labyrinth" located at the Phoniel Ranch Mysterious Energy site.
How To Break The Wall in 'Head to Scholastone' Quest
You can see the exact location of the cave entrance above. You will know you reach it because you will need to crawl under an archway leading to a rock with a strange crystal formation on it. Here is where the weird part of the puzzle kicks in.

To actually bypass the wall, you will first need to learn the skill in front of the cave. This will upgrade your Force Palm attack to "Focused Force Palm". You initiate it the same way by using "Focus" (X on PC and R3 + L3 on console), then once you are in focused stance, press in R3 again (middle click on PC). Now you will have a sort of green clover icon as your "aim."
Note: Your "aim" is the green clover/leaf, not your "target dot" in the middle of your screen.
Now you need to position the green clover so that it's inside the "circle." Once that circle flashes with a yellow light, release the Focused Force Palm attack to break the wall. It took us a few attempts, but it eventually worked. You can see from the image below what it should look like.
Note: We reloaded the save a few times, and our positioning did seem to impact it. However, after the patch on March 23rd, it appeared to be slightly improved.
Once you break through the wall, you will be greeted by yet another of the same puzzle. Just do as before, position the green clover on the circle and wait for the flash of light. Break the wall to finally open up into the next area.
Once you open up into the wider area, you need to head up the cliff to the Pyramid rock on the hill. Here, speak with Grimark, who will continue the quest.
Note: This section requires the Scholastone Uniform.
Before you head out, speak to the merchant "Grania" who sells a Small Bag and three recipes: Fruit Punch, Pan-Fried Vegetables, and Meat and Fish Porridge.
Now, you are free to head to the tower anyway you see fit. You can either climb up directly or take the slower, but safer route of following the road. As you get close to the location, the next quest, Gate to the Otherworld, is up next, which will have a few more puzzles and a tricky boss fight.
