Crimson Desert: Crimson Night Boss Guide (Simple & Easy Trick)

The Crimson Nightmare is, to put it simply, a very silly boss fight. The idea is interesting: have players fight a "cube" that deals non-stop poison damage, takes zero damage unless stunned, and otherwise takes forever to kill.

Thankfully, there is a simple trick to end this fight in about two stun phases, taking less than 30 seconds total.

Boss Overview: The Crimson Nightmare

The Crimson Nightmare isn't your standard beast or warrior; it's a cube with a vendetta against human life. Well, specifically ours.

• The Problem: It emits a constant Poison DoT (Damage over Time) that ignores most armour
• The Catch: It has a "Hardened Shell" mechanic, meaning your standard attacks will hit for 0 damage or be deflected entirely until the boss is staggered

The Crimson Nightmare: 30-Second "Blitz" Strategy

This strategy requires the Focus level 2 skill "Focused Repulsion" to enter the focus stance (R3 + L3/X) and then press R1 (RB or Right Click) to activate Repulsion. What this normalyl does is repel enemy attacks against you. In this fight, however, it completely stuns the cube, so you can attack it.

Here's what to do:

1. Start the boss fight and enter "Focus" mode immediately
2. Cast Focused Repulsion to break the fog and stun the boss
3. Run up to the now stunned boss and do as much damage as possible
4. Once it 'wakes up', simply repeat the first three steps again

Essentially, we are blowing away the fog surrounding the boss, stunning it in the process.

The Crimson Nightmare: The Intended Method

If you have a distaste for cheese, here's the strategy we believe the game intends you to use:

1. Find the Scarlet Blade Gas Mask, which drops from enemies in the area. This gives you immunity to the boss's gas, thus taking very little actual damage from its attacks
2. Use your Axion Force (Grab) skill to pull out the diamond inside the boss and do damage (it's awkward)
3. Dodge or block the attacks from the boss, slowly building up stun damage to allow you to kill the boss
