How to Get Copper in Windrose

Crafting a Stone Pickaxe

To be able to mine Copper Ores, you need to make yourself a Stone Pickaxe. Here is the recipe for crafting one at the Workbench:

  • Stone Pickaxe: 3 Wood + 3 Stone

Locating the Copper Deposit Cave

Make your way to the Copper Deposit Cave with your Stone Pickaxe. Thes caves are ocated inside the Coastal Jungle, marked by the Pickaxe icon as shown in the image above. The entrance will look like a crack in the stone wall, where you’ll need to press E to enter. The cave will also be quite dark inside, so it can be helpful to have your Oil Lamp equipped or enough wood to build floor torches before you enter.

Mining Copper Ores

To mine Copper Ores, you simply have to hit the ore nodes with your Stone Pickaxe until they break. Make sure to empty your inventory before going to mine because your inventory slots fill up with ore quite quickly. You might also pick up Stones from breaking the nodes, which you can discard to collect more ore instead.

Crafting Copper Ingots

To make the Copper Ores into Ingots, you have to first construct a Charcoal Kiln and a Smelting Furnace. Both of the recipes call for Clay, so make sure to get some easily following our guide. Here is the recipe for crafting them using Build Mode:

  • Charcoal Kiln: 20 Clay and 20 Wood
  • Smelting Furnace: 15 Clay and 30 Stones

To get Copper Ingots, start by making Charcoal in the Charcoal Kiln. Putting 1 Wood in the kiln gives you 1 Charcoal and 1 Ash. Put the Charcoal along with 6 Copper Ores in the Smelting Furnace to get a Copper Ingot. Both processes are time-consuming, so we recommend building two or more kilns and furnaces to speed things up.

Using Copper Ingots

After obtaining the Copper Ingots, you can craft a variety of things from not only the Workbench, but also the Weaponsmith Workshop and Build Mode. From the Workbench, you can make the following recipes:
