Windrose Factions & Reputations: All Faction Items & Best Faction Levelling Order

Factions play a huge part in the world of Windrose with each of four unique Factions having their own personality, main base, quests and rewards. You earn Reputation with Factions by handing in various reputation items that you collect along the way, including by completing quests for the Factions.

Once you reach certain Reputation levels, the Faction vendors ('Provisioners') sell powerful items including armor sets and ship upgrades. Read on to learn everything you need to know about Factions, including which factions we recommend you hand your Reputation items into first!

Windrose Factions: How Reputation Works

You can gain reputation with any of the four Factions in Windrose by handing in Reputation items. Different Reputation items award different amounts of Reputation Points and you need the following amount of reputation points to reach each level:

When you reach a new Reputation Level, you will unlock new items from that Faction's Reputation Vendor (Provisioner).

You can earn Reputation Points with a Faction by handing in Insignias (obtained by defeating enemies and sinking ships) or Letters of Favor (obtained by completing quests).

Buccaneers

Outside of buildings and cosmetics, Buccaneers sell three valuable sets/items:

• 3x Ship Cannons Upgrade Options

People of Tortuga

The People of Tortuga have the least exciting/impactful items for sale from their Faction Provisioner, that is unless you are avid builder! They sell some of the coolest building sets in the game. Notable items are:

• 2x Privateer's Set Pieces (+10% Crit Chance > +10% Crit Bonus )
• 2x Marksman's Set Pieces (Stam. Reduction on Movement > +15% Ranged Damage)
• Marble, Plaster & Tile Base Set
• Columns & Arches
• Tile Roofs

Smugglers of Port Royal

The Smugglers of Port Royal carry two pieces from two armor sets but most importantly they have very powerful ship upgrades, allowing you to upgrade your Hull and acquire Naval Tactics which provide your ship with various buffs. Key items:

• 2x Conquistador Set Pieces (+15% Damage Resistance > Hits don't interupt actions)
• 2x Pikeman's Set Pieces (+160 Max Health > +15% Two-handed Damage)
• 3x Hull Upgrade Options
• 5x Naval Tactics Options

Brethren Of The Coast

The Brethren Of The Coast faction sell some of the most exciting items from their Faction Provisioner/Vendor... Plans that allow you to build bigger and better ships! Specifically:

• Ship Design: Frigate

Beyond that, it's mostly just ship cosmetics and crafting materials. Full list below:

Best Faction Items In Windrose & Suggested Faction Levelling Order

We will forget about cosmetic items for the purpose of this section and focus solely on which Faction items grant the most character power/help you progress in the game faster. The most powerful Faction items, in our opinion, are:

• Plans: Perfectly Ordered 12-Pounders (Buccaneers Level 2)
• Plans: Perfectly Ordered 24-Pounders (Buccaneers Level 3)
• Plans: Perfectly Ordered 36-Pounders (Buccaneers Level 4)
• Plans: Standfast Hull Bracing (Smugglers Level 2)
• Naval Tactics V: Silence The Guns (Smugglers Level 3)
• Ship Design: Brig (Brethren Level 2)
• Ship Design: Frigate (Brethren Level 4)

This gives us a rough suggested Reputation leveling order of:

1. Buccaneers Level 2
2. Smugglers Level 2
3. Brethren Level 2
4. Buccaneers Level 3
5. Smugglers Level 3
6. Buccaneers Level 4
7. Brethren Level 4

If you want any of the set piece items from the People of Tortuga then you can always increase that to Level 2 whenever you want.
