In this guide we'll run through most of the key resources available in the Cursed Swamp and show you how you can obtain them all.

Where To Find Ancient Scraps In Windrose (Mire Metal Ingots)
So the 'Ingot'/metal in this crafting tier is somewhat different to the Coastal Jungle and the Foothills in that it doesn't come so easy. You won't be able to jump down into a mine and leave with 200 Ore at a time, instead you'll have to clear out small areas of Ruins in the Cursed Swamp and hack away at the 'Ancient Debris'.
You will still find locations on your map where this resource is most abundant, marked with a pickaxe symbol as before, but you'll also find it in other areas, in small temples or ruins guarded by Plague Warriors.
Where To Find Quagmire Powder In Windrose (Mire Metal Ingots)
It's not enough to mine Ancient Scraps, as you will also need Quagmire Powder in order to forge Mire Metal Ingots. This resource is a bit more difficult to come by and is somewhat unusual in that it is obtained mostly from combat.
Every enemy from the 'Plague' tribe drops Quagmire Powder, including Thralls, Hunters, Witches and Warriors. If they have 1-3 Stars (elite mobs) they drop more. This means that farming this resource can be a bit of a pain, especially until you have levelled up and ascended your gear.

The good news is that you can also loot it from POIs, sometimes finding 7-10 in a Chest or Old Skeleton. The bad news is that there are a finite number of POIs and so ultimately hunting Plague enemies will be your primary source.
Where To Find Tar In Windrose (Tarred Fabric, Tarred Planks)
This one is pretty simple, Tar can be obtained from chopping down Tar trees which are extremely plentiful and you'll find them everywhere in the Cursed Swamps. Each tree drops around 5x Tar so it doesn't really take long to stock up on this resources.

You can use Tar to create Tarred Planks and Tarred Fabric, critical for shipbuilding:
- Tarred Planks are created at the Workbench for 1x Wooden Plank and 1x Tar.
- Tarred Fabric is created at the Tanning Rack for 1x Linen Fabric and 1x Tar.
Tip: Try and find two trees clumped together so you can chop them down at the same time, doubling the speed of farming. There's a lot of 'double trees' surrounding the High Priestess boss room in the final island of the Cursed Swamp.
Where To Find Plague Wood In Windrose (Enchanting Reagent)
There are various areas of 'Plagued Woods' throughout the Cursed Swamp. You'll know when you are in one because all of the objects within the zone look tainted with the plague and a 'Wood Plague' meter will appear on your screen and start to build up.
To obtain Plague Wood, you need to chop down trees specifically within these zones. Plague Wood is needed for smelting into Essence Arborum at a 1:1 rate, which is used to craft powerful enchanted items. Enchanting isn't really fleshed out currently but we expect much more to come.
Where To Find Tainted Bile in Windrose (Enchanting Reagent)
Tainted Bile is quite hard to come by as it only has one source: Plague Crocodiles. These are basically Crocodiles on steroids and are very tanky. You'll find them all around the Cursed Swamp and they typically drop 2x Tainted Bile on death.
Tained Bile is required to create Ingot Arborum at the Enchanting Table, alongside Mire Metal Ingots and Essence Arborum.
Where To Find Bromeliad in Windrose (Alchemy Reagent)
Bromeliad was the last resource we found in the Cursed Swamps and it took us quite a while to locate it. It's a red flower that I believe can only be found within the Plague Wood regions of the Cursed Swamp.

Bromeliad is used to create advanced (epic) elixirs which last 30 minutes instead of 15.
Where To Find Tear of Sorrow in Windrose (Alchemy Reagent)
In addition to Bromeliad, epic elixirs and Great Healing Potions also require Tears of Sorrow to craft. Like many other rare reagents in this zone, they are obtained mostly through combat, with certain elite Plague mobs dropping it on death. You'll want to hunt for Plague Witches, Plague Warriors and Plague Berserkers to obtain Tears of Sorrow.
Where To Find Mysterious Spice in Windrose (Cooking Reagent)
Mysterious Spice usually drops alongside Tears of Sorrow and has a drop chance from Plague Warriors and Plague Witches. It can also be found in chests within various Cursed Swamp POIs, mostly Ruins.
Mysterious Spice is required for most of the epic Cooking recipes and so it is a sought after resource.
Other Cursed Swamp Resources
This final section is for resources not worthy of a section of their own, because they are so easy to find. They include:
- Crocodile Hide Piece/Tail/Head - obtained from killing Crocodiles who appear all over the Cursed Swamp
- Firefly - found near harvestable plants within the Cursed Swamp, look for a green glow
- Cocoplum - they look like blueberries and are found all over the Cursed Swamps, great to get some seeds for your farm
- Leeks - found in abundance within the Fertile Soil that surrounds the Cursed Swamp Ruins POIs
- Lobster Mushrooms - these little guys look like small yellow blobs and are found scattered throughout the Cursed Swamps, reasonably rare
