Where To Find Tainted Bile In Windrose (Best Plague Crocodile Farming Route)

As you reach the very late game of Windrose, you will realise that there is an unexpected bottleneck: Tainted Bile. This extremely rare resource is required to produce Ingot Arborum which is a crafting material required for the game's most powerful weapons.

The only source for Tainted Bile in Windrose however, is from Plague Crocodiles. These are tough enemies which are only found scattered throughout the Cursed Swamp and they only drop two Tainted Bile on death.

In this guide, we run through our farming route for Tainted Bile, showing you where you can find Plague Crocodiles reliably.

Tip: We recommend combining this farming route with our Quagmire Powder farming route, as you also need to have enough Metal Mire Ingots to craft your Ingot Arborum.

Where To Find Tainted Bile: Farming Route

As of right now, we have found two reliable locations that contain more than one Plague Crocodile. These are:

• Frescoed Ruins
• Sacrificial Alter (East)
• Tainted Ruins Of An Ancient Temple (North)

Note: Although the locations of these islands will be different on your map, the layout of each island is the same, so you will find the same POIs in the same locations once you have found the right islands in the Cursed Swamp.

Tainted Bile Farming Location 1: Frescoed Ruins

At this location, you can find three Plague Crocodiles for a total of 6x Tainted Bile. The Plague Crocodiles are Level 15 here and usually clumped together so just warning you that it's a little bit of a spicy pull!

Tainted Bile Farming Location 2: Sacrifical Altar

At this location, you can find three Plague Crocodiles for a total of 6x Tainted Bile. The Plague Crocodiles are Level 12 here so easy to farm, and can be pulled separately.

Tainted Bile Farming Location 3: Tainted Ruins Of An Ancient Temple

At this location you can find two Plague Crocodiles, however sometimes one of them will be elite (indicated by stars besides their nameplate) and can drop more than two, so expect to find 4-6 Tainted Bile from this location too.

Note that the location for the Plague Crocodiles here is actually north of the POI, that is intentional.

Plague Crocodile Respawn Times

We're trying to dial in the exact respawn times of Plague Crocodiles at the moment but it seems to be around 120-150 minutes. Roughly speaking, this means you can farm around 16x Tainted Bile from this farming route every couple of hours.

Farming Tips

Here's some additional tips to make your farming as efficient as possible:

• Set your Fast Travel Location as close to the POIs as possible.
• Combine this farming route with our Quagmire Powder or Tumbaga Ingot farming routes so you have everything on cooldown at the same time.
• Consider running one of our builds to optimise farming speed and help with combat.
