Patch 12.1 of the WoW Midnight Expansion includes a new zone, The Coiled Isle. This new zone has been speculated about since the release of Midnight, as we can see the island just off of the Zul’Aman coast shrouded in fog. And now we will get the chance to explore The Coiled Isle and see what secrets are hidden around the zone.

How to Unlock the Coiled Isle in WoW Midnight
While The Coiled Isle will be available immediately after the launch of WoW Midnight Patch 12.1, it is recommended to get to The Coiled Isle by following the main story campaign as this will unlock the new Renown Faction, Zul’jarra’s Forces.
Starting the Main Story Campaign for The Coiled Isle
If you haven’t started the Main Story Campaign, you can pick up the first quest, Hagar’s Invitation from Oreynna in Silvermoon City.

Continuing the Story Campaign
If you have already started the Main Story Campaign from Patch 12.0.7, you can continue it by starting the next story quest from Lady Liadrin. This quest should get pushed to you when WoW Patch 12.1 goes live, but if it doesn’t, then Lady Liadrin can be found in Amani’Zar Village in Zul’Aman.

How to Get to The Coiled Isle in WoW Midnight
There are two different ways to get to The Coiled Isles, you can either fly directly over from Zul’Aman or use the portal that you can unlock from interacting with the new Prey Season.
Fly Across From Zul’Aman
To get to The Coiled Isle, you will need to fly across Zul’Aman and make your way towards the Broken Bridge near the Strait of Hex’alor, from there you will be able to fly into The Coiled Isle.

Use The Coiled Isle Portal
While not unlocked immediately, you can unlock a portal to The Coiled Isle by interacting with the new Prey Season and completing a few short quests. To learn more about Prey Season 2 and How to Unlock The Coiled Isle Portal make sure to check out our guides for them both.
Once unlocked, The Coiled Isle Portal can be found inside of Astalor’s Sanctum inside of Silvermoon City.

New Content to Complete on The Coiled Isle
While on The Coiled Isle there is a large amount of world content and instanced content that you can complete. Like most modern WoW zones there are new Rares, Treasures, Lore Objects and Delves that you can find around The Coiled Isle.
Alongside all of the content you expect that comes with new WoW zones we are also getting a new world activity, The Vaults of Atal’Utek. The Vaults of Atal’Utek will have you completing a variety of different objectives inside of the underground Vaults, while collecting a new currency called Corrosive Coins and progressing towards a number of achievements and exclusive rewards.
Corrosive Coins, the main new currency for the Coiled Isle, can be used to purchase cosmetics and are also used as the primary reagent for the Altar of Corrosion, a new player power system that will help you traverse the Midnight Zones.
