J’imothy the world famous racoon from Seattle who has taken the internet by storm has been added into WoW Midnight as a pet. J’imothy can be used as a battle pet, but we think it is much better to keep him by your side as you journey across Azeroth.
How to Get J’imothy the Racoon in WoW Midnight
The first step to gaining the J’imothy pet is to find the creature stuck in an arcane prison somewhere in Silvermoon City.
J’imothy has multiple spawn locations that can be seen in the images below.

If you cannot find J’imothy at any of the locations it is likely that he has recently been broken out of his arcane prison and needs some time to cause more chaos to be put back in prison, roughly around a 10 minute respawn timer.
Once you have found J’imothy you can break him out of his prison by interacting with him, this will start a channel and you will need to dodge all of the swirlies on the floor until you have drained all 100 stacks of the Barrier Integrity buff keeping J’imothy locked away.
Stacks drain at roughly 1 every 3 seconds so it will take a few minutes to do, but you can have multiple players draining the buff at the same time to quicken the pace.
After freeing J’imothy from his prison he will stand in front of you eagerly awaiting some pets, interact with him to gain the Stubby Whistle item to add him to your pet collection.
