Corrosive Souls are a new Warbound Currency added in WoW Midnight Patch 12.1, and are used to unlock new powers in the Corrosive Codex. In total you will need to collect 96 Corrosive Souls to unlock all of the powers and gain the ability to have 2 powers active at the same time.
As Corrosive Souls are a Warbound Currency you can complete several of the methods we have listed below to gather a lot of Corrosive Souls in a shorter amount of time. However, it will still take some time to collect all of the Corrosive Souls you will need.
Ways to Farm Corrosive Souls:
- Defeat An Ancient Foe Daily
- Complete A Daily Curse Surge
- Complete Weekly Quest Purging the Vaults
- Complete Weekly Quest Turn Back the Surge
- Defeat New Lair Boss (World Boss)
- Complete Weekly Prey
- Bountiful Delves

Defeating a Daily Ancient Foe
Defeating an Ancient Foe for the first time each day inside of the Vaults of Atal’Utek you will have a chance to loot a Corrosive Soul. Ancient Foes spawn after a Temple Incursion has been completed. Ancient Foes can be defeated daily on multiple characters for an additional chance to obtain more Corrosive Souls.
Completing a Daily Curse Surge
After earning rank 4 renown level with Zul’jarra’s Forces you will unlock a Warband Reward called Curse Surges 1. This gives you a chance of obtaining a Corrosive Soul upon defeating the boss enemy for the first time each day inside of the Curse Surge event.
Curse Surges spawn every 45 minutes and rotate between different places. You can check when and where the next Curse Surge is going to be active by opening your quest log (Default keybind L) and checking the Events tab.
Weekly Quest Purging the Vaults
Every week you will be able to pick up a Weekly quest called Purging The Vaults. This quest can be picked up from Warleader Abdumati inside of the Vaults of Atal’Utek.
To complete this quest you will need to participate in the Vaults of Atal’Utek event completing several Temple Strikes, Temple Incursions and Ancient Foes. This can be completed on multiple characters but does take some time to complete. After completing this quest you will gain 1 Corrosive Soul.

Weekly Quest Turn Back the Surge
Every week you will be able to pick up the Weekly Quest, Turn Back The Surge. This quest requires you to complete 3 Curse Surges and can be completed on multiple characters.
The Turn Back the Surge quest can be picked up from Talon Commander Zela who can be found in Tokka’s Landing on The Coiled Isle.

Defeat Nymrissa Wavecaller
Each week you can defeat the new Lair boss, Nymrissa Wavecaller and loot 3 Corrosive Souls. This can be done on multiple characters allowing you to quickly accumulate a large amount in a relatively short amount of time.

Completing Weekly Prey Hunts
Each week you can complete 4 Weekly Prey Hunts to earn the Preyhunter's Champion Chest, Preyhunter's Veteran Chest, Preyhunter's Champion Sack and the Preyhunter's Veteran Sack. The first 4 containers that you earn from completing Prey Hunts have a chance to contain Corrosive Souls.
As you progress through Prey you will be able to earn reputation with the Prey Journeys Renown, once you hit level 3 in the renown track you will also be able to defeat Ru’kala for 2 Corrosive Souls per week, but you can do this on multiple characters with the additional chance of looting even more Corrosive Souls every time you defeat Ru’kala.

Bountiful Delves
Each day 4 Bountiful Delves will spawn in different Midnight Zones, inside of each of the Bountiful Delves are Bountiful Coffer. Each Bountiful Coffer has a chance to contain a Corrosive Soul, but you will need Coffer Keys in order to loot the Bountiful Coffers.
While completing Bountiful Delves you will gain reputation with the Delve Journey Renown. Once you reach level 2 in the Delve renown you will be able to purchase the Corrosive Reticule from Telemancer Astrandis in Silvermoon City. The Corrosive Reticule contains 6 Corrosive Souls but can only be brought 1 time per account.
