In WoW Patch 12.1 (Midnight Season 2) there will be a new type of content called Lairs, an evolution of World Bosses by moving them from an outdoor boss into an instanced encounter. The first Lair that is added to WoW Midnight is called The Tidebound Grotto; this is a one boss raid instance similar to Sporefall, with its own unique boss, Nymrissa Wavecaller.
Not only will Lairs hopefully help with the lag that World Bosses cause, but it also allows players to defeat the Lair boss on multiple difficulties each week, including Heroic and Mythic Flex, with both difficulties dropping their respective item tracks (Hero and Myth), making it much more appealing to defeat each week for some extra meaningful item level.
Note: Upon release of WoW Patch 12.1 you will only be able to defeat Nyrmrissa Wavecaller on the World Difficulty setting. With Normal, Heroic and Mythic Flex releasing the following week when Midnight Season 2 begins.
This guide shows you where you can find The Tidebound Grotto Lair and how you can enter the queue to defeat Nymrissa Wavecaller.

How to Queue for The Tidebound Grotto Lair (World Boss)
To be able to queue for The Tidebound Grotto Lair you will need to interact with the instance portal and select what difficulty you are looking to enter. If you are a solo player you will only be able to queue for the World Difficulty.

If you are queuing as a solo player you will immediately be thrown into a 2 part scenario after queuing. In this scenario you will be defeating waves of elite mobs before the boss spawns, this acts as the trash that you would normally see in raids and allows the instance group to fill with players.
How to Queue as a Pre-made Raid Group
If you are looking to queue as a pre-made group, then the leader of the group will need to select what difficulty you are looking to complete. After the group leader has selected the difficulty and entered the Lair, other group members will be able to join the instance by walking into the Lair entrance.
The Tidebound Grotto Lair (Nymrissa Wavecaller) Item Level Drops
