Sparks of Tides are the new Weekly Crafting Sparks that you will need in order to craft epic quality armour and weapons in WoW Midnight Season 2. During the Season 2 Pre-season you can obtain 2 Sparks of Tides from Weekly Quests, and a bonus 3rd Spark if your character hasn’t completed the Midnight World Tour quest from Midnight's release.
Note: There is a high chance that the third spark being available is unintentional by Blizzard, and we may see a fix implemented or an alternative way to reach the intended amount of Sparks introduced.

How to Obtain Your Weekly Spark of Tides in WoW Midnight
Sparks of Tides can be obtained by completing certain Weekly Quests that can be found in Silvermoon City or the new zone added in Midnight Patch 12.1, The Coiled Isle.
Note: During the Preseason you can obtain 2 Spark of Tides by completing any 2 of the Weekly Quests. However, once Season 2 starts you will only be able to obtain 1 Spark of Tides each week.
Trailing Xal’atath Weekly Quest
You can pick up a new Weekly Quest in Silvermoon City from Vereesa Windrunner. Vereesa can be found just beside the Weekly Vault, standing next to Lady Lidarin.

This quest will require you to loot 100 Fading Voidwhispers. These can be looted from Dungeons, Delves, Treasure and Rares.
Sparks of War PvP Weekly Quest
Each week there will be a new Sparks of War PvP quest that you can pick up from Zerella. Who can be found in the Falconwing Square inside of Silvermoon City.

This quest will require you to loot 100 Sparks of War. Either from looting treasures, defeating other players or defeating rares found in the assigned zone.
Turn Back the Surge
The Turn Back The Surge Weekly Quest requires you to complete 3 of the new Curse Surges on The Coiled Isle. Completing this quest will reward you with a Spark of Tides, and can be picked up from Talon Commander Zela in Tokka’s Landing on The Coiled Isle.
Note: If you have completed the other 2 Weekly Quests during the Pre-season, you will not get a Spark of Tides from completing this quest.

Bonus 3rd Spark of Tides
You can obtain a bonus 3rd Spark of Tides if your character hasn’t completed the quest, Midnight World Tour. This quest was completed by the majority of players at the start of the expansion to obtain the Season 1 Spark and requires you to complete each of the world events across Midnight’s zones.
If you haven’t yet completed this quest it can be picked up from Lor’themar inside of Silvermoon City.
Note: This is likely to be fixed at some point and it is unclear if it could affect next week's Weekly Sparks.
