In Crimson Desert, players can use fleece as a crafting material to improve their jewellery, cloaks, soft armour and more. It can be found early in the game through farming, but as you advance past Chapter 4, it becomes more available.
What is Fleece Used For?
Fleece is primarily a refinement material used at the Blacksmith. You will need a steady supply to upgrade the following gear types:
- Soft Armour: Light sets that prioritise mobility and stamina
- Cloaks: Essential for elemental resistance and style
- Jewellery: Enhancing accessories for stat boosts
How to Get Fleece in Crimson Desert

There are three primary ways to acquire Fleece, ranging from combat to passive farming at the Greymane Camp.
| Method | Location | Requirement | Effort Level |
| Combat | Hernand Region | Kill Bandits | High |
| Purchase | Hernand Town Provisioner’s Shop (shown above) | Unlocked in Chapter 4 | Low |
| Farming | Greymane Camp | Build a ranch to farm sheep | Zero (once unlocked) |
1. Enemy Loot (Bandits)
The most common way to find Fleece early on is by looting defeated enemies.
- Location: The Hernand region
- Target: Focus on Bandit camps. These enemies have a high drop rate for raw materials, including Fleece. Use your pet to make it easier to loot.
2. The Hernand Provisioner’s Shop

If you prefer to spend Silver rather than kill enemies, you can purchase Fleece directly from the vendor.
- Unlock Requirement: You must reach Chapter 4 of the main story
- Vendor: The Provisioner in Hernand Town
Pro Tip: The shop stock refreshes daily at 0:00 (midnight) in-game time. If the shop is sold out, simply wait until 00:00 the next day.
3. Sheep Ranching (Passive Farming)
For a long-term, sustainable source of Fleece, you should utilise the settlement system. This is done via the Faction quest "A Rumour in Goldleaf Trading Post", which you get by progressing through the "Grounds of the Sunrise" faction quest chain.
- Location: Greymane Camp (unlocked via story progression)
- Method: Build a Ranch and populate it with sheep. This provides a steady yield of Fleece without requiring you to leave the camp. It does, however, take time to unlock.
