Conductive Mark

Feed to innactive Infusers

On Mythic, in order to spawn an Infuser add, you need to feed its corpse with 10 Conductive Marks.

This is also the only way to get rid of a mark, apart from using an immunity.

Strategy

This fight is a heavy mechanics check. Your main focus should be understanding your objectives and playing as clean as possible. Failing Conductive Marks (spreading extra marks) is very hard to recover from.

We suggest you free up melee space as much as possible, it will make the fight a lot easier.

Conductive Marks and Infusers

On Mythic, in order to spawn an Infuser add, you need to feed its corpse with 10 Conductive Marks. This is also the only way to get rid of a mark, apart from using an immunity.

Each Conductive Mark cast will go onto 4 players. It's very important that players do not spread marks to others, at all times. Players who do get an extra mark from someone have the option to immune remove it or dump it on Purple (Purple marker will serve as our dumpster add).

Dropping a mark will do raid wide ticking damage for several seconds, dropping multiple marks at the same will increase the stacks of the debuff. You can go to 2 stacks very early into the fight, but later on you will be dumping singles only!

Dropping Conductive Marks sequence

On the first 3 Conductive Mark casts you can always drop 2 at the same time (2 players drop theirs at the same time and the raid gets 2 stacks).

  • Mark1 - Yellow: 2+2+2

Special note here: On the opener, one player will have to take 2 extra marks. This is because you want to spawn the infuser on the second set of marks, but doing it the regular way would give you only 8 marks (2x4), 2 short of the 10 needed. We suggest assigning a healer for that job, since you want your dps to fully blast on the opener. That player should simply touch another player and get a mark twice.

So to put it simply; 4 players get marked, your healer runs into one of them and both of them drop theirs on yellow, now the healer will run into another player and both of them drop it again on yellow. You are now at 4 marks and have 2 more players remaining. They should drop theirs and the ad has 6 stacks now!

  • Mark2 - Yellow: 2+2 (add spawns here)
  • Mark3 - Orange: 2+2
  • Only Single Mark drops from here
  • Mark4 - Orange 4x Singles
  • Mark5 - 2x Singles on Blue first! Then 2x Singles on Orange (add spawns here)
  • Mark6 - Blue 4x Singles
  • Mark7 - Blue 4x Singles
  • Mark8 - Green 2x Singles First! Then 2x Singles on Blue (add spawns here)
  • Mark9 - Green 4x Singles
  • Mark10 - Green 4 Singles
  • Mark11 - Purple 2x Singles First! Then 2x Singles on Green (add spawns here)

From here, you will be done with spawning the adds and you can dump the next 9 marks on Purple. Use any immunities here to remove marks when possible. Once you reach 9 stacks on Purple, do not drop marks on it anymore, since you want to skip spawning the last add.

Tip for Raid leaders calling out marks:

You do not really need to remember this all in advance, it becomes very logical after the opener add spawns which you will get a hang of after 1-2 pulls. The main thing to remember is that you will do 2x stacks only on the first add and first set of marks on Orange. Afterwards, it's only singles until the end of the fight.

You also need to know that each time you are at 8 stacks on an Add, during the next set, the first 2 stacks go to the next marker, and then the last 2 you will use to spawn the add. This happens on every single marker except the opener one.

Infuser Spawn and Kill timing

The time at which you spawn the Infuser and when you kill it matters.

You should aim to dump the last stack that spawns the add just before or during Cyclone, but not after. If you drop it after, it means your raid is slow at dealing with marks and you will start falling behind. It will also make it harder for you to kill Infuser in time.

Once Infuser spawns, make sure a tank picks it up and kicks the cast. All players should DoT and passively cleave the add. Once the Coalescing storm cast happens, and you know which platform you need to go to, move the add into the knock-back position and kill it.

IMPORTANT: Your Infuser kill window is with 5-10 sec left on the next Conductive Mark cast after Coalescing Storm cast. Any earlier and you will have cooldown management issues. Any later and there is a high chance one of the platform players gets Conductive Mark cast on them, which would pretty much result in a wipe.

The third and fourth Infuser spawn will need a lot of damage, so make sure to call out for the DPS players to swap to it earlier than usual.

Platform and Boss teams

2x Platform group

8 players - Tank/Healer/6xDPS (Paladin/Evoker Healer suggested)

Send players with best AoE and good CC abilities. Make sure to assign every CC in advance, it will make the phase much easier. Mostly your Priest will stay down, so make sure to call for Power Infusion just before you go up.

There is no difference from Heroic, except that you really need to play clean on the platforms. Do all your Infuser kicks, group up Thunder Callers quickly and nuke them down, rotating stuns to interrupt their cast. You should aim to kill all the adds when your group has 15-19 stacks of Thunderbolt. Any later and your group will likely not survive.

Boss group

The 4 players that never go up to platforms): 2 Healers + 2 DPS

Players with bad AoE should stay down (Warlocks, Shadow Priest, BM Hunters, etc.).

Some guilds prefer to keep one player down at all times. We think 2 is better since it will increase damage done to the boss and will help you a lot towards the end of the fight when you push the boss. If some of your groups are really struggling with killing the adds on their platform, you can send that second player to help, but generally it should be fine.

Putting this all together

Dathea Mythic can be a very simple fight if people focus on objectives. It is very much the Heroic version with extra steps.

As long as the Raid leader understands what Marker you should feed next, and calls it in advance, like “4x singles on green”, then the players themselves can decide in what order they're going to dump them, depending on who's already close and similar. Keep an eye on random melees getting a mark. They will usually need more time to reach the corpse and sometimes there will be heavy traffic that prevents them from going there. Raid leaders should always announce in advance that the specific melee player should go as second, or third so they can start getting into position.

Apart from that, focus on the usual stuff like dodging tornadoes, not getting knocked off the platform when the Infuser dies and surviving cyclones with movement abilities and strong healer cooldowns. Once again, having all Crowd Control sorted out in advance will make the platform much much easier, so really make sure that your group understands that.

Make sure you spawn your Infuser at the proper time, and that it dies at the right time.

Healing Tips

  • Make sure to split up the shamans and druids in the platform group so you have AG/Vigil in each group
  • Split DK’s up (if you have more than 1), so that both platforms have grip + AMZ
  • We recommend that your Priest(s) play Holy
  • Pre-assign personals for each platform group
  • Health Pots and Health stones should be used mostly during Cyclone
  • Evoker’s Time Spiral talent during Cyclone is essentially a strong defensive cooldown
