New and Best Ways To Farm Voidlight Marl in Midnight Patch 12.0.5

The Midnight WoW Expansion has given players a ton of things to collect and Patch 12.0.5 has brought in even more collectables with a lot of them costing Voidlight Marl. This is a new currency in the Midnight expansion that is primarily used to buy all of the new Mounts, Toys, Pets, Cosmetic Items and Decor Items.

We have previously gone over all of the ways to Farm Voidlight Marl, but with the release of the Midnight 12.0.5 patch there are a couple of new ways to farm Voidlight Marl. Also, with this Patch being a great time to catch-up on some of your collecting, we wanted to highlight some of the best ways to farm Voidlight Marl, so your collection can grow even quicker!

New Ways To Farm Voidlight Marl

The release of Patch 12.0.5 has given players two new world events to farm Voidlight Marl.

Ritual Sites

Ritual Sites is a new instanced piece of content that can be done solo or in a group of 5 or less players. Ritual Sites are very similar to Delves in that you will need to complete a few tasks and defeat some difficult mobs to earn your rewards at the end of the Ritual Site.

Completing Ritual Sites on higher difficulties along with the additional optional challenges will reward you with higher amounts of Voidlight Marl.

Void Assaults

Void Assaults are a new world event that consists of two smaller events, Void Strikes and Void Incursions. To learn more about Void Assaults you can check out our Void Assaults Overview.

Void Strikes are very similar to World Quests, you will need to complete a couple of objectives and in return you will be rewarded with a Field Pouch. Field Pouches will reward you with 40 Voidlight Marl.

Void Incursions is a larger event that will only happen once enough Void Strikes have been completed. Void Incursions will ask you to complete a few small objectives before defeating a difficult mob, similar to a world boss. After completing a Void Incursion you will be rewarded with a Field Satchel. Field Satchels will reward you with 120 Voidlight Marl.

Best Ways To Farm Voidlight Marl

While trying to collect everything there is in Midnight, it can quickly become overwhelming to see how much Voidlight Marl you will need to collect. Luckily, there are some great ways to accumulate a large amount of Voidlight Marl through repeatable sources that have very little requirements or restrictions, with the only limit being the amount of time you want to put into each of these farms.

Random Nightmare Prey Hunts

One of the best ways to farm Voidlight Marl is to complete Random Nightmare Prey Hunts. Before you can start this farm you will need to unlock level 2 and level 4 in the Prey reputation track, allowing you to unlock Random Prey and Nightmare Difficulty Prey.

Once you have unlocked Random Prey and Nightmare Difficulty you can speak with Astalor Bloodsworn and select the “I want to begin a randomized Hunt” option. Astalor Bloodsworn can be found inside of his sanctum, in Silvermoon City.

After completing a Random Nightmare Prey Hunt you will be given a choice of various rewards, including 200 Voidlight Marl.

Tier 5 Ritual Site with All 8 Challenges Active

Ritual Sites are a new system that were introduced in Midnight Patch 12.0.5. There are two Ritual Sites that rotate weekly, one inside of Eversong Woods and the second in Zul’Aman.

Before starting Ritual Sites you will need to complete a short questline to unlock them. You can check out our Ritual Sites Overview to learn more about Ritual Sites.

Ritual Sites comes with 5 tiers, each increasing in difficulty along with different challenges that you can enable. Completing the higher level tiers and challenges will reward you with more and more Voidlight Marl. If you are able to complete a Tier 5 Ritual Site with all 8 of the optional challenges enabled you will earn 500-600 Voidlight Marl.

In addition to the base amount of Voidlight Marl you will earn from Ritual Sites you will also quickly accumulate a large amount of reputation with the Ritual Sites renown track. After hitting the maximum renown level you will still be able to earn reputation with the Ritual Sites Renown and after earning enough you will be able to get a Overflowing Ritual Site Cache. This cache will contain an additional 1500 Voidlight Marl giving you a good repeatable bonus while farming Ritual Sites.
