Ritual Sites are a new instanced type of content that was released with Patch 12.0.5 of the Midnight WoW expansion. While Ritual Sites can be fairly easy to complete, you can unlock and enable a variety of different challenges to increase the difficulty of Ritual Sites and increase the rewards you can receive.
Overall there are 8 different challenges that you can unlock:
- Tendrils
- Malevolent Boons
- Reinforced
- Patrols
- Manifestations
- Embers
- Magical Alarm Bells
- Tainted Corpses
Unlocking All Ritual Site Challenges
All of the challenges have a different set of requirements you will need to complete in order to be unlocked and available for you to activate inside of a Ritual Site.
Unlocking Tendrils Ritual Site Challenge
In order to unlock the Tendrils challenge for Ritual Sites you will need to complete a Ritual Site on any difficulty and loot the chest at the end of the Ritual Site. Once you have looted the chest you will earn a quest item called Ritual Site Challenge Report: Tendrils. Complete the quest given from the item by quickly handing it in and you will unlock the Tendrils challenge for Ritual Sites.
Unlocking Malevolent Boons Ritual Site Challenge
After completing a Tier 2 Ritual Site you will unlock a new quest given to you by Lady Darkglen, who can be found on the top level of The Bazaar, inside of Silvermoon City.

After accepting this quest, you will need to go into a Ritual Site and investigate 5 of the Dark Obelisks inside of the Ritual Site. To gain quest progress simply walking around the Dark Obelisks to investigate them . The table below has all of the Dark Obelisk locations for the Eversong Woods Ritual Site.

After investigating 5 of the Dark Obelisks you will complete the quest. Hand in the quest and you will unlock the Malevolent Boons challenge for Ritual Sites.
Unlocking Reinforced Ritual Site Challenge
Once you have completed a Tier 2 Ritual Site you will unlock a new quest from Ranger Captain Lilatha, who can be found on the top levels of The Bazaar inside of Silvermoon City.

Once you have accepted this quest you will need to go into a Ritual Site and defeat enemies until you fill up your progress bar.
Once you have defeated enough enemies and complete the quest, return to Ranger Captain Lilatha and hand in the quest. Once you have completed this quest you will unlock the Reinforced challenge for Ritual Sites.
Unlocking Patrols Ritual Site Challenge
Upon completing a Tier 3 Ritual Site you will unlock a new quest called Misappropriated Treasures. This quest can be picked up from Lady Glendark on the top levels of The Bazaar inside of Silvermoon City.

To complete this quest you will need to find certain treasures that are hidden within the Ritual Sites. All of the treasures can be found fairly easily by following the quest markers.
Once you have completed the quest and handed it in, you will unlock the Patrols challenge for Ritual Sites.
Unlocking Manifestations Ritual Site Challenge
When you complete a Tier 3 Ritual Site you will unlock another new quest from Ranger Captain Lilietha, who can be found on the top levels of the Bazaar inside of Silvermoon City.

To complete this quest you will only need to complete a Ritual Site, after you have completed this quest you will have the Manifestations challenge unlocked for Ritual Sites.
Unlocking Embers Ritual Site Challenge
While inside of a Tier 4 Ritual Site you will loot an Ember of Power, looting this item will start a new quest requiring you to loot more Embers of Power from enemies inside of the Ritual Sites. Complete this quest to unlock the Embers challenge for Ritual Sites.
Unlocking Magical Alarm Bells Ritual Site Challenge
After completing a Tier 4 Ritual Site you will have a new quest waiting for you from Lady Darkglen, who can be found on the top levels of the Bazaar inside of Silvermoon City.

This quest will ask you to go back into the Ritual Sites and use a quest item to monitor magical energies around certain spots inside of the Ritual Site. Complete this quest to unlock the Magical Alarm Bells challenge for Ritual Sites.
Unlocking Tainted Corpses Ritual Site Challenge
To unlock the Tainted Corpses challenge you will need to find and loot a Tainted Bone Pile inside of a Tier 2 or higher Ritual Site. As the Tainted Bone Piles can be found in both Ritual Sites we have the coordinates for them listed below.

After you interact with the Tainted Bone Pile you will be given a quest. Quickly hand in the quest to unlock the Tainted Corpses challenge for Ritual Sites.
