Written by Tayder - 7th August 2026

In Patch 12.1 of WoW Midnight you will be able to unlock the Altar of Corrosion, this is a new player power progression system for world content. The Altar of Corrosion will give you a variety of new talents to help you complete many of the challenges you will experience on The Coiled Isle.

Note: If you’re unsure where to find the Altar of Corrosion, read our Where to find the Altar of Corrosion Guide.

Overall there are 24 different talents to unlock in total, and since you will eventually be able to unlock all of the talents, there isn’t necessarily any correct path and it more so depends on what type of content you are looking to complete. There are a few choices as you progress through the Altar of Corrosion Talent Tree, which are locked until you find the Discoveries within the Vault of Atal’Utek.

This guide goes over all of the talents in the Altar of Corrosion system, letting you know what passive buffs and abilities you can unlock to make World Content easier. If you would like to learn more about the Altar of Corrosion, check out our Altar of Corrosion Guide.
