The Altar of Corrosion is a new player power system that will help you in the open world of WoW Midnight. Inside of the Altar of Corrosion are four different choice nodes each giving you two options to pick between, but you need to unlock them by finding different Discoveries scattered around the Vaults of Atal’Utek.
Each Altar of Corrosion Discovery will require a different item to unlock them. You can gather each of the four items needed by completing Temple Strikes, Temple Incursions and defeating Ancient Foes in the Vaults of Atal’Utek World Event.

Altar of Corrosion Discoveries Requirements and Choice Node Unlocks
In order to loot the 4 different discoveries you will need to collect four different items, one for each of the respective Discoveries. You earn these unique items from completing activities inside the Vaults of Atal’Utek, such as Temple Strikes, Temple Incursions or defeating Ancient Foes at the end of the Vaults of Atal’Utek World Event.
The table below shows the specific item required for each of the Altar of Corrosion Discoveries and the Choice Node options that are unlocked.

Lost Med’jai Amulet Discovery Location
The Lost Med’jai Amulet can be looted from Jin’tal’s Reliquary and can be found inside of the Profaned Mausoleum.
Note: To loot the Lost Med’jai Amulet you will need the Dispelling Charm item.

Once you have entered the Profaned Mausoleum, head left until you enter a room with two Nek’zali’s Ensared mobs and the Jin’tal’s Reliquary can be found on top of a bookshelf in that room.

After looting Jin’tal’s Reliquary you will start The Protection Of The Med'jai quest. Hand the Protection of the Med’jai quest into Er’inye, who can be found at the Amani Foothold standing to the right of the Altar of Corrosion.

Upon completion, you will unlock the choice node between Surge Seniority or Spiritual Succession in the Altar of Corrosion.
Feather of Tok’jara Discovery Location
The Feather of Tok’jara can be found and looted at The Seal of Wrath, sitting on a small ledge near the Venomous Abyss Raid Entrance.
Note: To loot the Feather of Tok’jara you will need the Spirit Loupe item.

Looting the Feather of Tok’jara will give you The Winds Of Tok'jara quest. Hand this in to Er’inye, who can be found at the Amani Foothold standing to the right of the Altar of Corrosion.

Upon completion, you will unlock the choice node between Spirit Walk and Spectral Shipping in the Altar of Corrosion.
Mummified Lynx’s Paw Discovery Location
The Mummified Lynx’s Paw can be looted from the Venom-Worn Coffer, found in between two Venom Waterfalls near the Amani Foothold.
Note: In order to loot the Venom-Worn Coffer you will need the Corroded Key.

Looting the Venom-Worn Coffer will give you the Mummified Lynx’s Paw and start The Luck Of The Bound Spirit quest. Hand in this quest to Er’inye, who can be found at the Amani Foothold standing to the right of the Altar of Corrosion.

Upon completion, you will unlock the choice node between Glideways or Swift Steps in the Altar of Corrosion.
Eye of Szarith Discovery Location
The Eye of Szartih can be found and looted inside The Underbelly.
Note: In order to loot the Eye of Szarith you will need the Excising Knife.

Note: If you have unlocked the Feather of Tok’jara Discovery you can pick the Spectral Shipping ability to fly directly to The Underbelly. Otherwise you will need to travel to The Underbelly normally.
Once you are inside The Underbelly, head towards the back room with a Venom Pool, you will find the Eye of Szarith floating in the middle of the pool.

Looting the Eye of Szarith will start a new quest called The Watchful Gaze Of Szarith. Hand in this quest to Er’inye who can be found at the Amani Foothold standing to the right of the Altar of Corrosion.
