How to Expand Inventory in Crimson Desert: Get More Slots Fast

Written by Geekmandem - 20th March 2026

Unlike some RPGs that make you do math based on weight limits, Crimson Desert keeps it simple: it’s all about your inventory slots. You aren’t limited by how heavy your gear is, but rather by how many individual "boxes" you have available in your bag.

To get more space, you need to find Bags. These items will be offered as rewards for quests and helping people. They offer the following inventory slot values.

  • Small Bags: +1 Inventory Slot
  • Medium Bags: +3 Inventory Slots
  • Large Bags: +5 Inventory Slots

Prioritize Quests

expand inventory

The most reliable way to snag those juicy Medium and Large bags is by helping out the locals. Townfolk often reward your hard work with extra storage. Quests like Trial After Trial will often reward at least a medium bag.

To find these, open your Journal and navigate to Main Quests or Faction Quests. Here, scroll down to the reward section, where you should see an image of a bag. If you do, then that's what you want!

Pro Tip: Notice boards are an amazing way to find quests that offer Bags. The more quests you accept, the better your chances of finding one that offers an inventory upgrade.

Hit Up the Local Vendors

If you have some spare gold, you can buy your way to a larger inventory. Most vendors in major towns sell Small Bags for about 50 copper coins.

While a +1 increase might seem small, it's a fantastic early-game investment. Because these bags are permanent, they pay for themselves almost immediately by allowing you to carry more loot which you can then take back and sell. Look for the "?" icons on your map under the Environment tab to find these merchants.

Note: Despite unlocking a base during the game, you will not get a magical infinite storage chest. You can store paintings, etc., in the camp by placing them, or putting weapons on racks... but no stash for now!

Inventory Management Tips

Since space is at a premium, you need to know how items behave in your pack:

  • Stackable Items: Consumables and crafting materials will stack, so filling your inventory with these is fine, though make sure to sell them to help fund more inventory expansion
  • Gear: Weapons and armour will take up the most space in your inventory. However, they are also valuable, so make sure to visit local traders and sell these valuable items often

And that's it, follow these simple tips and you'll find inventory management much easier!
