Abyss Without Balance Quest Guide: Crimson Desert Walkthrough

The Abyss Without Balance quest is one of the first tests in Crimson Desert. It introduces the game's core puzzle mechanics and the powerful Axion Force skill. While the logic is straightforward, the physics-based controls can be tricky for newcomers.

This first puzzle is all about using the Axion Force skill to move objects. In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps.

How To Solve The Puzzles In The Abyss Without Balance Quest

The first part of the puzzle will take place in the courtyard. The game gives us a few hints, thankfully. Use the Axion Force power (L3) and move the two stone slabs so that they match the above image. You can push and pull the two slabs around with the Axion Force, which is a little tricky to nail at first.

Then, once you get past the jumping section, you will be greeted with the second part of the puzzle. Now, we need to remove the floor that is protecting the lower section of the area. Use the image below to guide you. Simply take the two square blocks and place them in the two stone pillars.

Learn Force Palm

Now it's time to observe our first skill. Once you drop down into the lower level, look for the boy attacking the wall. Walk over to the core and use the Observe (L1/LB) to Observe the skill being used. Once you've observed it, use the Force Palm to hit the block into place.

You can see above where the block needs to be. Use the triggers (R2/L2 and RT/LT) to wiggle the block into place. Once it looks right, come out of the placement menu. From here, walk up to it and use the Force Palm using R3 to push the block into place.

Lastly, we need to activate the Abyssal Pathway. Climb up the large disk on the floor above, and use the Force Palm as shown above in the middle of the device to power it on.

Abyss Without Balance Reward

Once that's done. Head up and collect the Faded Abyss Artifact. These are the key items used to earn skills in the world. We will also get a Palmar Pill, which is used to revive a downed character. The quest will also unlock flying once you speak to "The Women in White."

This location can always be returned to using fast travel, and you can complete more puzzles here to unlock new Skybridges in the area. The quest will finish with you being let back into the world, allowing you to freely explore again.
