The Soft Underbelly is a new achievement in Patch 12.1 of the WoW Midnight Expansion, and is a part of the meta achievement for the Vaults of Atal’Utek, Assault the Vault.
The Soft Underbelly achievement requires you to find and defeat 5 different enemies inside of The Underbelly, within the Vaults of Atal’Utek.
Note: Some of the enemies you will need to defeat will require the Temple Strike: The Underbelly to be active for them to spawn. This is a random event that happens inside the Vaults of Atal’Utek, with no set rotation, so it may take some time for the correct Temple Strike to appear.
The Underbelly can be found inside the Vaults of Atal’Utek. You can read our Where to Find The Underbelly Guide if you’re unsure how to get to The Underbelly.
The 5 enemies you need to find and defeat for the Soft Underbelly achievement:
- Champion of the Scale
- Guardian of the Sacrifice
- Priest of the First Rattle
- Szarith the Fanged
- Vserix the Sneaky
Where to Find the Champion of the Scale
The Champion of the Scale can be found inside of the first large room as you enter The Underbelly. The Champion of the Scale will only be available when the Temple Strike: The Underbelly is active.

Where to Find the Guardian of the Sacrifice
The Guardian of the Sacrifice can be found inside of a room on the right side of The Underbelly. The Guardian of the Sacrifice will only spawn once the Temple Strike: The Underbelly is active.

Where to Find the Priest of the First Rattle
To find the Priest of the First Rattle you will need to go towards the back of The Underbelly. Similar to both the Guardian of the Sacrifice and Champion of the Scale, the Priest of the First Rattle will only spawn while the Temple Strike: The Underbelly is active.

Where to Find Szarith the Fanged
Szarith the Fanged can be found towards the back left of The Underbelly, as Szarith the Fanged is a regular rare, it will spawn even when the Temple Strike: The Underbelly isn’t active; meaning you can always go into The Underbelly to find and defeat Szarith the Fanged, with the only restriction being its 10-15 minute respawn timer.

Where to Find Vserix the Sneaky
Vserix the Sneaky inside of The Underbelly but has multiple different spawn points. So you might need to check each one to see if it has spawned in a different spot.
While testing we were able to find 3 different spawn points.

Note: Vserix the Sneaky does not need the Temple Strike: The Underbelly to spawn.
