Corrosive Coins are a warbound currency introduced in WoW Midnight Patch 12.1. Corrosive Coins are used to purchase items from Skull of Er’inye, including the Caustic Venomfang Mount, a couple of pets and a lot of Player Housing Decor items. For a full breakdown of all the items available, check out our Skull of Er’inye (Corrosive Coins) Vendor Rewards Guide.

You can also use Corrosive Coins to upgrade the Corrosive Altar in Midnight Patch 12.1. We highly recommend doing this first before buying any of the other items, as it will make you much more powerful in the Vaults of Ula’tek and increase the amount of Corrosive Coins you earn. For more details, you can read our How To Unlock and Upgrade the Altar of Corrosion in WoW Midnight Guide.

Ways to Farm Corrosive Coins in WoW Midnight

Corrosive Coins can be collected from a variety of sources: defeating enemies, looting treasures and rewards for completing activities around the Vault’s of Atal’utek.

Temple Patrols

Temple Patrols are the easiest activity to complete on your own inside the Vault’s of Atal’utek. While they are easy to solo, they only reward a small amount of Corrosive Coins, around a baseline of 20 per patrol.

There are three patrols active every 10 minutes, meaning you can farm 60 Corrosive Coins every 10 minutes, in addition to any you get as drops from enemies during the patrol.

Temple Strikes

Temple Strikes are a little more difficult than Temple Patrols, and usually have you defeating elite enemies while doing other objectives, such as destroying eggs or disrupting rituals. You can solo these, but it is much more difficult than the Temple Patrols, so we would highly recommend doing them as a group; there should be a lot of groups in the group finder that you can join.

One of these will be active, unless there is a Temple Incursion event currently active instead. They reward a base of 75 Corrosive Coins every time they are completed. Completing these as a group is a very efficient farm for Corrosive Coins.

Temple Incursion

Temple Incursions happen at the end of a Temple Strike, roughly every 15 minutes, and have a lot of objectives that will all need to be completed by a group within 10 minutes.

These reward the largest amount of Corrosive Coins, with 175 baseline per completion. If your group is successful at completing the Temple Incursion, it will spawn an Ancient Foe, which if defeated will reward an additional baseline 200 corrosive coins.

If you are a solo player and not many people are currently taking part in Temple Strikes or Temple Incursions, then we would recommend completing Temple Patrols as they can be easily soloed.

If you are able to find a group, it is much more efficient to farm Temple Strikes and complete Temple Incursions whenever they are available, as they reward a lot more Corrosive Coins.

Make sure to return to the Altar of Corrosion and get upgrades as often as possible, so that you can farm Corrosive Coins quicker.

Overall the Corrosive Coins currency have some great rewards that they can be exchanged for. You definitely want to try to complete the activities in the Vaults of Atal’Utek in a group if your goal is to farm Corrosive Coins the most efficiently, but they can still be farmed solo if you prefer.
