The Gnarldor Isle Delve Overview

This section covers things relevant to all versions of the Gnarldor Isle Delve in Midnight WoW.

Delve Mechanic

The Delve Mechanic for Gnarldor Delve is Tortollan Scrolls. These scrolls appear throughout the Delve, clicking on them will give you a buff, be aware some of these can have negative impacts alongside the helpful effects.

Delve Mobs

The Gnarldor Isle has Gnarldin Enemies. Most of these are fairly easy to deal with, however, there are a few that can easily cause deaths if you don’t deal with their mechanics correctly.

Stonerender Raider is a Gnarldin they have 2 abilities that can easily combo you especially if you pull them with other mobs. Charge the Stonerender will run at you and stun you for 2.5 seconds. This has a very short minimum distance, so even stepping back by a small distance will cause them to stun you. Their other ability is Muckwave, which is a frontal cone that deals heavy damage if you remain inside it.

Tuskcrusher Outrider is a Gnarldin Riding a mammoth, these are elite but only have a single ability. Stampede will cause the Tuskcrusher Outrider to gain buff that slows their movement speed, but will cause heavy physical damage and knock away players if you are too close. Be very careful where you pull these as you can be knocked back into more mobs.

Earthcaller Shaman is a caster Gnarldin, they only have one ability, Mud Bolt, it deals moderate single target damage. As these are one of the few caster mobs in delve we would recommend interrupting these as much as possible.

Boss

The boss in The Gnarldor Isle is Gralka Snake-Eater, she is fairly easy to deal with, however, her mechanics are not 100% obvious. Her first ability is Snake Eater this is a cast that when complicated will grant her 2 stacks of a buff Snake Eater, which increases her damage by 15% per stack. She will also leave behind a venomous puddle on the floor.

Venomblade Slash hits her main target for moderate physical damage and will apply and Nature Damage overtime for each stack of Snake Eater.

Her final ability is Purging Breath, this is a 6 second channel which can be interrupted. However, every 2 seconds she will remove 1 stack of Snake Eater but produce a toxic wave at her current target that can be sidestepped. These toxic waves hit very hard, and will be a one shot.

To defeat Gralka Snake-Eater, we recommend having Valeera as healer so she dispels the poison debuff and does not interrupt the Purging Breath. The best strategy is to never interrupt Purging Breath as she stands still and you can easily sidestep the toxic waves reducing her overall damage dealt.

Olds and Ends- Story Variant

In the Olds and Ends version of The Gnaldor Isle Delve you will assist Tormunda, rescue the elderly Tortollan and collect some supplies. The Supplies are collected by defeating enemies which will cause them to appear on floor and you can collect them by running over them.

We would recommend using the route below as the delve is quite big and it can be easy to end up defeating more enemies than necessary, make sure to loot any bags as they also contain the supplies you need.

Once you have collected them all and saved 8 of the turtles you will be able to take on the boss.

Speaking Their Language- Story Variant

In the Speaking Their Language version of The Gnarldor Isle you will be helping rescue 3 turtles and collect a few items. This is fairly simple and if you just follow the yellow objective markers on your minimap you will find all of the items and turtles along the way.

The next step will be to mount one of the War Turtle’s this acts like a vehicle. The first ability is a frontal cone fire attack, the second is a cannon barrage which deals damage about 40 yards in front of you, the third is Shell Spin which makes the turtle move a lot faster and deal damage with enemies it collides with. The final ability is a defensive shell and heal for a small amount.

Using the War Turtle you will need to defeat 50 Gnarldin and then defeat Gralka Snake-Eater, sadly you can’t use the Turtle.

Minchi’s Osseous Adventure- Story Variant

In Minchi’s Osseous Adventure you will be assisting Minchi in finding out about their history through a ritual with Bone Piles. These are scattered throughout the delve, there are far more Bone Piles than the ones you need. Clicking on a bone bile will summon waves of enemies that you need to defeat.

While progressing through the delve you will also need to collect 6 Gnarldin Hearts which can be found by interacting with Gnarldin Corpses.

Once you have collected 6 Hearts and interacted with 6 bone piles around the area you can move to perform the ritual on the bridge in the delve.

This version of The Gnarldor Isle has a different boss, Osseous Almagamation, it has abilities very similar to Marrowgar from Icecrown Citadel. This includes the iconic Bonestorm which deals physical damage in a nearby area. Bone Shield applies a large absorb but can and should be interrupted and finally Bone Spike will spawn small spikes consecutively underneath the player, being hit will cause moderate damage and a small knockback.
