Patch 12.0.7 of the Midnight WoW expansion introduces Void Assaults Escalation. This adds onto the Void Assaults from the previous patch and will take us to some zones that were last seen in the Legion WoW Expansion, Naigtal and Val. Only one of the zones will be available each week, rotating between the two each weekly reset.
Both Val and Naigtal have been expanded from the last time we have seen them, allowing players to explore the zone in greater detail while defeating new world bosses, rares and mobs. While you are exploring the zones you will have the chance to unlock new mounts, cosmetic items, achievements and decor items.
Getting Started with Void Assaults Escalations in WoW
At the start of each week, either Val or Naigtal will be available, rotating between the two each weekly reset.
Before being able to go to either of the new worlds you will need to complete some short quests from Riftblade Maella who can be found on the top levels of the Bazaar inside of Silvermoon City.

Once you have made your way to Riftblade Maella, you will have a short questline to complete to introduce you to the new worlds, starting with Stalkers Of The Stars and Veterans Of The Great Dark.
Following and completing this questline will take you to Voidstorm, where you will be able to enter the new zones, Naigtal or Val depending on which zone is active that week, through the Greater Void Portal.
The Greater Void Portal for Naigtal and Val is located in the south of Voidstorm, as shown on the map below.

What you can do in the New Midnight WoW Zones
Inside of Naigtal and Val there is a handful of content to complete, including collecting new Mounts, Pets, Cosmetic items and Achievements. If you are looking more for challenges in the open world then you can also use the Heroic World Tier difficulty, this will increase the difficulty of the new zones by adding in extra affixes in exchange for greater rewards.
World Quests and Bonus Objectives
Inside of Naigtal and Val zones there are multiple world quests and bonus objectives that you can complete. Both world quests and bonus objectives will reward you with Field Accolades, these can be used at all of the vendors involved with the Void Assaults event from both Patch 12.0.5 and Patch 12.0.7 for cosmetic items and catch up gear.

World Bosses
In Naigtal and Val you will be able to find two new world bosses, Nexus-Captain Leth’ir will be available in Naigtal and Imperator Pertinax will be available in Val. When you unlock the new zones you can immediately go and defeat these world bosses without any restrictions.
Nexus-Captain Leth’ir World Boss Location
Nexus-Captain Leth’ir can be found at Command Point Primos on Naigtal.

Imperator Pertinax World Boss Location
Imperator Pertinax is the world boss for Val and can be found inside of the Void Acropolis. To get inside of the Void Acropolis you will need to use the Void Portal that can be found towards the South of Val.

After interacting with the Void Portal you will be teleported inside of the Void Acropolis, from here you will need to walk forward until you meet a staircase not far from where you have been teleported.
Head down the staircase and walk through the hallways until you meet Imperator Pertinax in the middle of a larger room surrounded by all the exotic beasts he has collected.

Defeating the world bosses will drop a Warbound Champion piece of gear that you will be able to trade between alts and Heroic World Tier will drop a Hero piece of Warbound gear giving you a great way to quickly gear up alts.
Heroic World Tier in Midnight WoW
The Heroic difficulty World Tier can be used on both of the new zones, and once selected will add affixes to the new zones, increasing the difficulty of all content on Naigtal and Val.
The Heroic World Tier is available right away and doesn’t have any restrictions, only recommending an item level of 274 before entering, as it can be challenging if undergeared.
Once enabled, there will be a variety of new affixes applied to a lot of the mobs in Val and Naigtal. The affixes may differ from each mob, some may have a stacking damage increase, while others could have the ability to spawn ground effects or extra minions.

Rares in Val and Naigtal
On each of the new zones there are rares that you will be able to find and defeat. Naigtal has 8 rares and Val has 10 rares that can be found and defeated.
Defeating the rares will reward you with some Coffer Key Shards and Field Accolades. None of the rares seem overly difficult to defeat but make sure to look in the Group Finder to see if there are any groups being made to defeat all of the rares as they are needed for some achievements, and it can make it much easier.

Achievements and Unlockable Rewards
Each zone also has its own unique meta achievement, but it can be a little confusing as both of the achievements have very similar names. Naigtal has the A Trip Through The Stars achievement while Val has the A Trip Around The Stars. Each achievement has its own unique mount that you will be able to purchase after earning the achievement.
Naigtal’s achievement will unlock the Starmech Cosmic-Collapser and will require the achievements listed below:

- Prepared For A Showdown
- A Hal'hadar Walks Into A Swamp
- Climate Strange: Naigtal
- Showdown Slugger: Naigtal
- Showdown Success: Naigtal
