Sporefall, a new one-boss Raid located in Harandar, releases with Patch 12.0.7 of World of Warcraft: Midnight. The boss, Rotmire, rewards players with a special Sporefused Loot, where items drop at a higher item level than other items in this tier.
Alongside this higher item level, Rotmire will also have three items which have special fungal-themed effects. These effects do not cost any of the items stat budget, meaning they are potentially very strong, especially if you like the stats the items provide.

Unique Effect WoW Items from the Sporefall Raid:
- Rotmire's Sporeheart (Neck)
- Sporecaller's Blooming Loop (Ring)
- Sporelord's Mycelial Insignia (Trinket)
Rotmire’s Sporeheart (Neck)
Rotmire's Sporeheart is a necklace with a defensive effect. When you heal, you have a chance to summon protective toadstools that shield you for a small amount. If the shield is fully absorbed they explode to deal nature damage.
This item will possibly be popular on tanks and healers, with a few DPS that self heal such as demon hunter or monk. Tanks in particular will utilise the random shield pretty well when actively tanking.
Sporecaller’s Blooming Loop (Ring)
Sporecaller's Blooming Loop is a ring with an offensive nature damage proc. Dealing nature damage has a chane to apply Rotbloom, which deals Nature damage over time. These procs do not overlap or stack and if a second proc happens the debuff is consumed and deals 120% of its damage instantly.
This is going to be very specialization specific. Specializations which deal nature damage naturally such as Enhancement Shaman, Elemental Shaman and Balance Druid will most likely use this ring.
In addition, the Omnium Folios Rune of Void-Touched Orbs deals cosmic damage, while we have been unable to test if this can proc the ring, cosmic damage does include nature damage. Similarly you could also utilize embellishments, although again we have not tested if this works.
Sporelord’s Mycelial Insignia (Trinket)
Sporelord's Mycelial Insignia is a trinket with a very simple effect: you have a chance to gain a secondary stat and leech buff for 12 seconds, it has approximately 2 procs per minute.
While this trinket might be an upgrade, it is competing with trinkets of the same item level thanks to the Ascendant Voidcore. Because of this, we suspect Gaze Of The Alnseer, Radiant Plume, Umbral Plume and many others to outclass this trinket and remain the BiS trinkets for a lot of Specs.
You can check our WoW Class Guides to find the recommended or Best in Slot (BIS) Trinkets and Gear for your specific WoW character’s specialization.
While the special effects of these items may not be amazingly powerful, they do add nice flavour to the Sporefall raid, and alongside their higher item level a big reason to defeat Romire.
