Tier Sets

Midnight Season 1 Tier Set Bonuses:

  • (2) Set Bonus: Void Ray damage increased by 10%.
  • (4) Set Bonus: Collapsing Star damage increased by 10% and it now generates 10 Fury.

Devourer’s tier set bonuses aren’t amazing, but they are not bad either. They don’t impact gameplay in any meaningful way, but they do gain value with more targets present.

Mastery and Haste provide significantly more value than Critical Strike and Versatility, so prioritize Mastery into Haste on your gear. I always recommend simming your own character to get a better idea on which items to aim for.

The BiS list will be updated closer to raid release.

Trinkets

As it stands, the gap between the best trinkets and the second best trinkets is quite large for Devourer. Mythic+ does provide some options if you aren’t able to get a hold of the raid trinkets.

The best trinkets for Devourer DH in Midnight Season 1 are:

  • Gaze Of The Alnseer - Passive proc trinket that grants massive amounts of primary stat, making it the number one choice in all situations.
  • Locus-Walker's Ribbon - Passive proc trinket that grants increasingly more Intellect for each time it procs, stacking up to 10 times.
  • Vaelgor's Final Stare - On-use trinket that gives a massive burst of Mastery, but decays rapidly. A great trinket for Void-Scarred, empowering the burst windows further.

Alternatives:

  • Emberwing Feather - On-use trinket that grants Haste for 15 seconds. This is the best option if you can’t get your hands on the best trinkets available.
  • Vessel Of Tortured Souls - Passive trinket that spawns souls on the ground. Collecting a soul grants Intellect for 60 seconds. This trinket is good in theory, but requires the player to actively collect and look out for soul spawns, which can make it worse in practice.
  • Shadow Of The Empyrean Requiem - Passive proc trinket that deals damage to your target. Grants a Haste effect if the target is below 35% health.
  • Heart Of Wind - Passive proc trinket that grants Haste for 10 seconds

Embellishments

I don’t recommend crafting with Spark Of Radiance until the season begins.

Your first craft should be Spellbreaker's Warglaive, with Darkmoon Sigil: Hunt as embellishment. Crafting a weapon first is usually the largest damage increase, and as it’s going to be BiS for Devourer in the future, it’s a safe craft.

The second craft is more flexible, but if you don’t want to sim your character, feel free to craft Loa Worshiper's Band.

If you crafted Loa Worshiper's Band, the third craft should be Silvermoon Agent's Deflectors’s with Stabilizing Gemstone Bandolier. Make sure to remove Darkmoon Sigil: Hunt from your weapon when you’ve done this.

Keep in mind, the difference between embellishments isn’t massive, and your BiS embellishment might vary depending on the content you’re doing and your current gear. Simming your character to get the most accurate data is heavily recommended.

Use Thalassian Missive Of The Feverflare for all crafted pieces when possible. This ensures that the item has Haste and Mastery on it.

Note: Make sure that your crafted weapon is a Warglaive, so that you can use it for all three specs.
