In the Midnight Pre-Patch Void elves can get access to the Demon Hunter class. However they first have to complete a short questchain. We have put together a quick overview of the full questchain and the prerequisites.
Prerequisites
You do not have to be a Void Elf to unlock the Void Elf demon hunter race-class combination, any race can do the unlocking questline.
However, to start that questline, you first have to have completed the In Search of Darkness storyline in Kar’esh. This is a sidequest that starts with the quest “A Common Cause” which you pick up from Magister Umbric in Kar’esh, and you might already have completed the full chain or parts of it previously.

The quests in the chain are:
- A Common Cause
- The Void Hunter
- Wasted Land
- A Piece of Something Greater
- The Void Confluence
- Distilled Darkness
- Chaos
- Hunger of the Void
Once you have completed this questline you should return to Dornogal, unless Magister Umbric has the quest “The Pursuit Continues” available.
The Rage of the Ren’Dorei Questline
The Void Elf Demon Hunter questline starts in Dornogal with the quest “The Pursuit Continues”, which you can pick up from Magister Umbric. He is located up the stairs near the Inn.
The full questline is just three quests where you help Leona train to be a demon hunter in K'aresh. Once you have killed some trash and an elite you will get the Rage Of The Ren'dorei achievement and unlock Void Elf Demon Hunter.
Once you have unlocked Void Elf Demon Hunters you can utilize the Winds of Mysterious Fortune to quickly level one up, once the buff is available on the 27th / 28th.
