How to Unlock Human and Orc Heritage Armor

How to Unlock Human and Orc Heritage Armor

Written by Leyst - 20th March 2023

The community, including myself, are big fans of Heritage armor sets and were worried about not receiving additional sets. However, the World of Warcraft Dragonflight Patch 10.0.7 is adding Heritage armor sets for Humans and Orcs.

If you want to know how to gain Exalted reputation with Stormwind and Orgrimmar and obtain the armor sets, you've come to the right place. I will guide you through the steps and explain everything, so don't worry if you're new to the game.

What are Heritage Armor Sets

Heritage armor sets are cosmetic items that are available for Allied and several Main races. They do not have an armor type, which means they can be transmogged by Cloth, Leather, Mail and Plate wearers. However, only the race that the heritage armor set is designed for will be able to use it. So, you won’t be able to use a human heritage armor set on a gnome etc.

Requirements

  • Level 50+
  • Exalted with Orgrimmar or Stormwind
  • Completing "A People in Need of Healing" (Orc) or "An Urgent Matter" (Human) questline.

If you meet all the requirements mentioned above, Master Mathias Shaw will offer you a quest called "An Urgent Matter" that can be accepted as a human player. By completing this quest, you will be rewarded with several variations of the new Human Heritage Armor set, as shown in the picture above.

How to get Exalted with Stormwind

To quickly reach exalted reputation with Stormwind City, you can purchase the Stormwind Tabard from Captain Lancy Revshon. This is because any reputation earned while in dungeons will be automatically added to your Stormwind City reputation.

My recommendation is to farm the Botanica dungeon, which can be found in the Netherstorm.

If you meet all the requirements mentioned at the start of this article, Eitrigg (in Orgrimmar) will offer you a quest called "A People in Need of Healing" that can be accepted as an orc player. By completing this quest, you will be rewarded with several variations of the new Orc Heritage Armor set, as shown in the picture above.

How to get Exalted with Orgrimmar

To quickly reach exalted reputation with Orgrimmar, you can purchase the Orgrimmar Tabard from Stone Guard Nargol. This is because any reputation earned while in dungeons will be automatically added to your Orgrimmar City reputation.

My recommendation is to farm the Botanica dungeon, which can be found in the Netherstorm.

Botanica Reputation Guide

Found in Outland's Netherstorm region, the Botanica is a dungeon commonly utilized to earn reputation while wearing specific tabards, such as the Stormwind or Orgrimmar tabard. The dungeon is filled with numerous mobs and can be cleared quickly, making it an ideal choice for farming while wearing a tabard.

To reach the dungeon, players can use the Dark Portal to enter Outland and fly to the Netherstorm, or they can access the Portal Room in their capital city and take the Shattrath City Portal before flying to the dungeon.

Earning Exalted reputation from Neutral while wearing a tabard usually takes 5-7 full normal runs. It's worth noting that Humans receive a 10% reputation gain bonus due to their racial trait.

Stormwind & Orgrimmar Portal Rooms

The portal rooms, which offer access to various locations including Shattrath City, can be found in the two main capital cities of Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

Stormwind City Portal Room

To access the portal room in Stormwind City, head up the ramp of the mage tower and go through the portal at the top of the stairs. Once inside the Wizard's Sanctum, make a right turn at the end of the hallway. The portal to Shattrath City will be the second portal on your right hand side.

Orgrimmar Portal Room

To access the portal room in Orgrimmar, head to the Gate of Orgrimmar and enter the portal room through the door. The portal to Shattrath City can be found at the lower level, so take the steps on the left side and follow the stairs. Once you reach the bottom, you'll find the portal on the left hand side.

Final Thoughts

It's great to see Blizzard adding additional heritage armor sets to more races in World of Warcraft. It will be interesting to see if they do the same with more throughout Dragonflight or future expansions.
