The Golden Cloud Serpent Treasure Chest decor item was a mystery for quite a while. Players had datamined that the decor item was purchasable from Second Chair Pawdo, but they had no idea how to make the housing item appear.
However, thanks to a recent Reddit post from Wrain_Fox, who accidentally discovered a mysterious blob while re-exploring Pandaria, we now know how to unlock the Golden Cloud Serpent Treasure Chest.
Unlocking the Golden Cloud Serpent Treasure Chest Decor Item
To begin the process of unlocking the Golden Cloud Serpent Treasure Chest, you must first complete all of Second Chair Pawdo’s quests. You can start these quests in either Stormwind, Orgrimmar or Dornogal. These were originally weekly quests but can now be completed back-to-back.
The first quest is Furniture Favour and the final quest is Last Light. These quests require you to collect furniture from around Azeroth and return it to Second Chair Pawdo. You can check if you have completed all of the quests with the following game command.

Once you have completed all of Second Chair Pawdo’s quests, head to Pandaria. We recommend using the portal in either Stormwind or Orgrimmar, as these will take you to the Jade Forest.
From there, fly to the northeast of the Jade Forest. Between four small islands at the bottom of the ocean, you will find a capsized ship. Swim underneath the ship and then up inside it to find Frederick the Fabulous, a mysterious blob.

Inside Frederick, you will find a treasure chest that can be looted, which will contain the Golden Cloud Serpent Treasure Chest.

Once you have looted the chest from Frederick the Fabulous, you will be able to purchase additional Golden Cloud Serpent Treasure Chest from Second Chair Pawdo for 1,500 gold.
The Golden Cloud Serpent Treasure Chest was a fun mystery decor item that took players several months to uncover. We hope Blizzard continues to implement more secrets like this in Midnight and beyond.
