Similar to previous expansions, Blizzard is introducing a new permanent Augment Rune for the third and final season of The War Within, the Ethereal Augment Rune. Unlike normal Crystallized Augment Runes, this one is not consumed on use. However, it does still provide the 733 primary stat for one hour.
To purchase the Ethereal Augment Rune, you must first reach renown to 18 with the K’aresh Trust. Once you have done that, you can then purchase the Ethereal Augment Rune from Om'sirik in Tazavesh for 100,000g. Om'sirik can be found at the following location:
/way Tazavesh 40.67 20.63
If you do not want to spend 100,000g on the Ethereal Augment Rune, there is an alternative from the raid renown. Once you reach renown 9 with the Manaforge Vandals, the Souleaters boss will begin dropping 3 to 6 Soulgorged Augment Runes; these provide the same 733 primary stat as the other two augment runes, they are consumed on use, but the buff does persist through death.
These two new Augment runes are great additions for players. You can choose to invest in a permanent rune that will last until the next expansion, or use the Soulgorged Augemnt Rune, which persists through death both are great options for progression Raiding or pushing Mythic+.
