Best Mining Build for Desolate Talus Ore
There’s lots of various mining builds for TWW, but this one is the overall best to get you set up for Desolate Talus Ore.
- First 60 Points go into "Mining Fundamental" (this unlocks Mounted Mining).
- 50 Points go into: "Plethora of Ore".
- 25 Points go into: "Rich Deposits".
- 45 Points go into: "Bismuth".
This build focuses on getting as much ore as possible while also giving you an increased chance of getting valuable gems such as Null Stone or K'areshi Resonating Stone.
Best Herbalism Build for Phantom Bloom
There’s lots of various herbalism builds for TWW but this one is the overall best to get you farming Phantom Bloom.
- First 40 Points into: "Botany" (This unlocks mounted herbalism).
- 40 Points into: “Bountiful Harvests”.
- 40 Points into: “Fungus Forager”. (increases Null Lotus Drops from Mycobloom).
- From here choose which herbs to specialize on.
Profession Equipment for Increased Materials Per Hour
Make sure before you start mining or herbalism, to get yourself some profession gear for drastically increased material drops and increase quality of the ore or herbs you gather. You can buy basic profession gear from the auction house or get some higher quality gear crafted using crafting orders in Dornogal (uses Artisans Acuity).
Profession equipment best stats: The best stats for gathering profession equipment is finesse. Aim to buy or craft tools and accessories which prioritize finesse, this will drastically increase the amount of materials you get from both mining and herbalism nodes.
Buffs and Consumables for Mining and Herbalism in Patch 11.2
Weaver’s Buff (Pact)
Go collect the pact buff from the Severed Threads Quartermaster in the Weaver’s Lair within Azj-Kahet and choose the Weavers as your pact to get a mega 15% Gathering Speed!
Note: You only need to do this on one character for it to affect your entire account’s characters for the duration of the buff. This buff can also be increased by gaining renown with the weavers.

Consumables for Mining and Herbalism in Patch 11.2
These potions and flasks will significantly boost your materials per hour. You can purchase them on the Auction House or make them with Alchemy. These potions and flasks not only increase your materials per hour but also enhance the quality of the materials you gather, while also giving you access to hidden mining and herbalism nodes.
- Phial: Phial of Truesight (Lasts 30 minutes)
- Potion: Darkmoon firewater (lasts 1 hour)

Best Mining Route for Desolate Talus
This mining route focuses on getting as much Desolate Talus as possible. Players will typically find the largest quantity of Desolate Talus by sticking to the rocky terrain, the mining nodes will often spawn on large rocks away from any danger.
Best Herbalism Route for Phantom Bloom
This herbalism route focuses on farming Phantom Bloom quickly. Unlike farming ore, these herbs are often near enemies, so it is definitely advisable to bring along some Darkmoon firewater for extra gathering speed, this will mean you can often get your herbs before being attacked.
Final Tips for Farmers
There are hidden nodes which can’t be seen unless you are using a Phial of Truesight, this is really worth using to increase your materials per hour. Get Rank 3, it costs gold but it’s worth it.
