Nexus-Princess Ky’veza is returning from Nerub-ar Palace to be the Delve Nemesis of Season 3 of the War Within.
Nexus-Princess Ky'veza is found in the Voidrazor Sanctuary delve, and similar to Zekvir and the Underpin, only has two difficulties “?” (recommended for Item level 678 or higher) and “??” (which has no recommended Item Level); this is an exceptionally difficult encounter.
Like any delve, this can be attempted solo or as a group.
Voidrazor Sanctuary Delve Location
The Voidrazor Sanctuary is located in Tazavesh. The entrance can be difficult to locate as it is behind some drapes.

Nexus-Princess Ky’veza Mechanics
If you have completed a tier 8 delve you may have already encountered Nexus-Princess Ky’veza as she can randomly appear in any Tier 8 or higher delve. If you have already encountered her you will have seen a few of her mechanics.
Below we break down all Nexus-Princess Ky’veza’s abilities in both “?” and “??” difficulties, and how best to deal with them. As Nexus-Princess Ky’veza uses the same mechanics in both difficulties, we have only explained the changes in the “??” section, so if you are taking on the “??” make sure to read both sections.
Nexus-Princess Ky’veza “?” Mechanics
This is the easier difficulty. That being said, Nexus-Princess Ky’veza is a very mechanically intense boss and nearly any mistake will one-shot your character. She has a few abilities that you want to keep track of:
- Nexus Daggers - Ky’veza fires out five daggers in a small arc, this is then repeated by five clones. The middle of the five daggers will always target you, so take your time and try to move one step between each one.
- Nether Rift - Ky’veza will place a circle around a player, Brann and a random location on the floor. After a short time they will drop a circle on the ground. These portals will drag players towards them, being inside the circle will one-shot you. The best strategy is to wait for Brann to place him then make a triangle then move to the center, so they drag you equally. Note: If Brann dies, he can drop the circles in awkward places.
- Dark Massacre - Ky’veza will summon a clone a small distance from the player, this clone will charge and deal massive damage unless you are looking at it. This happens three times in a row. This can be very difficult to begin with as you only get a few seconds in between each charge, practice will make perfect.
- Invoke Shadows - Once Ky’veza reaches 100 energy she will summon five clones on five of the points of the hexagon in the middle of the room. She will then teleport to the sixth point. She will then shuffle her position with the clones eight times. Once she has finished her and the clones begin to cast Shadow Eruption which instantly kills the player if it finishes. To stop this you need to click on the correct Ky’veza. Every time she casts Invoke Shadows, Ky’veza gains a stack of Death Cloak, increasing her damage by 5%.
Nexus-Princess Ky’veza “??” Mechanics
The “??” version is very similar to the “?” version. However, she has significantly more health and her melee does significantly more damage. In addition all of her abilities have been upgraded.
- Nexus Daggers - This ability will now fire two additional daggers and the delay between the clones firing is much shorter.
- Nether Rift - When Ky’veza applies the circles around the player, brann and the room, she will cover three areas of the room in void. This is generally pretty easy to deal with but can cause issues especially if Brann does not move favourable
- Dark Massacre - Ky’veza summons three additional clones so you need to look at six instead of three.
- Invoke the Shadows - The shuffle now happens slightly faster and she shuffles four additional times.
Nexus-Princess Ky’veza Strategy
Based on our experience with Ky’veza, we recommend doing the following.
- Do small steps left or right during Nexus Daggers to not get overwhelmed with overlapping daggers.
- Save movement skills for the Nether Rift in case you make a mistake, this will allow you to run away if you left a rift too close or Brann placed it in an awkward position.
- Dark Massacre can be difficult to spot. Make sure you have Anti-Aliasing off and have Outline Mode set to high as these settings can make the red outline on the charging clone stand out.
Recommended Brann Build
We recommend setting Brann as Damage, although the other options are fine. Then use either the Hatarang or Nether Overlay Matrix Combat Curio. For the Utility Curio we recommend either the Audio Amplification Crystal or Battered Aegis, with Battered Aegis you will need to swap it between attempts to avoid the reduced damage effect. These options should provide a good amount of damage to you and Brann.
Nexus-Princess Ky’veza Delve Rewards
Defeating Nexus-Princess Ky’veza in any difficulty during season 3 of The War Within will earn you the My Stab-Happy Nemesis achievement, which has the additional reward of the Hal'hadar's Phasebound Visor helmet transmog.
If you manage to defeat her on “??” difficulty you will earn the Pruning the Princess Achievement which rewards the Contract Killer title. If you manage to do this solo, you also get the Let Me Solo Her: Nexus-Princess Ky'veza Achievement which rewards the Delver's Mana-Skimmer Schematic: Hyperdrive, the void transformation for the Delver's Mana-Skimmer.
Ky’veza looks like an interesting encounter, possibly more difficult than both Zekvir and Underpin. We hope this guide helped you better understand how to tackle this difficult encounter and earn the coveted void appearance for your Delve Mount.
