How to Farm Ascendant Venomstones in WoW Midnight Patch 12.1.5

Ascendant Venomstones is a new item added to WoW Midnight in Patch 12.1.5. Ascendant Venomstones can be used to upgrade a few different Hero and Myth items to a higher item level to further increase your character's power.

Ways to Farm Ascendant Venomstones

Ascendant Venomstones drop from various sources in WoW Midnight mostly coming from end game activities.

End game activities that guarantee Ascendant Venomstones:

• Tier 11 Bountiful Delves (Requires Restored Coffer Keys)
• Tier 11 Labyrinth of Kindo’jan (Requires Restored Coffer Keys)
• Nightmare Prey (first 2 each week)
• Mythic +10 Dungeons or Above
• Heroic and Mythic Raid Bosses

Tier 11 Bountiful Delves

Bountiful Delves are a quick way to get some easy Ascendant Venomstones by looting Bountiful Chests at the end of the Delve, and can be done either solo or inside a group. While Delves are a quick way you are limited by the amount you can complete as there are only 4 Bountiful Delves that spawn around the Midnight zones each day.

If you have unlocked Rank 3 of the Delve Journey you can find a Shrine of Dundun inside of Bountiful Delves. The Shrine of Dundun will be hidden somewhere inside of the Delve and will normally take the shape of a fake tree or bush. If you are having trouble finding the Shrine of Dundun you can use the /tar Dundun command to help you figure out where it is located.

Finding a Shrine of Dundun will allow you to talk with Dundun and gives you the option to turn your Bountiful Delve into an Abundant Bountiful Delve once per week. Abundant Bountiful Delves rewards extra loot at the end of the Delve including a bonus Bountiful Chest allowing you to get an extra Ascendant Venomstone.

Tier 11 Labyrinth of Kindo’jan

Added in WoW Midnight Patch 12.1.5 the new Labyrinth of Kindo’jan can be completed and rewards you with 3 Bountiful Chests if you fully clear the Labyrinth (all 9 chambers) this can be done multiple times and can be a great way of Ascendant Venomstones if you are a solo player with spare Restored Coffer Key.

Nightmare Prey

Nightmare Prey can be a great way to very quickly acquire Ascendant Venomstones. Each week you will be able to complete 2 Nightmare Prey Hunts and obtain a Nightmare Prey Champion Box. The Nightmare Prey Champion boxes give one Ascendant Venomstone.

If you have progressed the Prey Journey during Midnight Season 2 you can obtain Afflicted Soul and Tormented Soul from completing Bountiful Delves. Afflicted and Tormented Souls will instantly complete your next Nightmare Prey and will also give you an extra chest that contains an Ascendant Venomstone totaling in 4 Ascendant Venomstones each week from Nightmare Prey Hunts.

Mythic +10 Dungeons or Above

Mythic +10 Dungeons are still likely going to be the best way to farm Ascendant Venomstones as they are guaranteed to drop from the chest at the end of a Mythic +10 run and can be endlessly repeated.

Heroic and Mythic Raid Bosses

Each boss in Heroic and Mythic Raids are guaranteed to drop an Ascendant Venomstone. Completing a full Heroic clear of the Venomous Abyss will guarantee you 8 Ascendant Venomstones. You can also defeat the new Lair boss Nymrissa Wavecaller and Kith’ix in The Unbinding of Kith’ix raid on Heroic difficulty to get an extra 2 Ascendant Venomstones.
