Darkmoon Faire Experience and Reputation Buff Guide

Darkmoon Faire is only available from the first Sunday of a Month to the following Sunday. There are two experience and reputation buffs you can get from the Faire, WHEE! and Darkmoon Top Hat.

Note: They don’t stack so you should always pick whichever one better suits you.

WHEE! Experience and Reputation Buff

The first Buff is WHEE!, which lasts 1 hour, is lost on death and you need to return to the Darkmoon Faire to get it again. This Experience Buff can be obtained by riding on the Carousel or Roller Coaster, both of which require a Darkmoon Ride Ticket, which can be purchased from Kae Ti who is standing just in front of the carousel on Darkmoon Island.

Darkmoon Top Hat Experience and Reputation Buff

The other Experience buff available from Darkmoon Faire is the Darkmoon Top Hat. These are consumables sold by Gelvas Grimgate for 10 Darkmoon Prize Tickets. They are Bind on Pick Up, however, the Darkmoon Prize Tickets are warbound and can be traded to the character you want to purchase the hats on.

The buff you get when using the Darkmoon Top Hat item does not stack with the WHEE! Buff, it lasts for 1 hour and is lost on death.

Warning: Any Darkmoon Top Hat's not used by the end of Darkmoon Faire will disappear from your inventory and you will not receive any of the tickets back, so only purchase as many as you intend to use and make sure to use them before the Darkmoon Faire ends.

How to Earn Darkmoon Prize Tickets

Prize Tickets are a warbound currency reward for doing content around the Darkmoon Faire, such as playing the games, completing profession quests, handing in special items and fishing.

Darkmoon Faire Game Quests

These are from daily quests near the stalls. Each quest rewards a single Prize Ticket and can be completed daily while the faire is active.

These are all of the Darkmoon Faire Game Quests you can complete:

• It's Hammer Time
• The Humanoid Cannonball
• He Shoots, He Scores!
• Target: Turtle
• Tonk Commander
• Firebird's Challenge

Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide Drops

One very easy way to earn a large amount of Darkmoon Tickets quickly is to purchase the nine Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide items from the auction house and then hand them in for prize ticket rewards.

Alternatively, if you want to farm them yourself you will need to do certain content with the Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide in your inventory, which we have outlined in the table below.

We have included a list of all of them here and how many tickets you receive.

As you pick up the items from your mailbox they will each start a quest, and these quests you hand in to Professor Thaddeus Paleo, who is located on Darkmoon Island. The items can vary a lot in price from 100s to 1000s of gold and you can only hand in one of each item, so don’t buy stacks of them. If you hand in all nine items you receive 80 Tickets.

Darkmoon Faire Profession Quests

Darkmoon Faire has a Quest for each profession, this includes all primary professions and all three secondary professions. Some of these will require materials to complete, but these can usually be found on vendors in Stormwind or Orgrimmar.

The primary professions reward 4 tickets and the Secondary professions reward 3 tickets. They can be done once every time the Darkmoon Faire is available, earning you 17 tickets for each character you do this on.

Darkmoon Faire Fishing Hand-in

Darkmoon Daggermaw are fished from several places and they do not require Darkmoon Faire to be active, although they are much more common when you fish on Darkmoon Island. You can trade these at Galissa Sundew, who can be found on Darkmoon Island.

For 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw you can purchase the Faded Treasure Map. This map will give you a quest to find four secret clues and finally Silas’ Secret Stash. This quest will reward you with Silas' Secret Stash which contains 100 Darkmoon Prize Tickets.
