Introduction
Welcome to Method’s Aeona guide by Cryve, a top-ranked Aeona player and multi–Rank 1 Mythic+ healer.
This guide will help you master everything you need to know for Aeona. If you have any questions you can find me here:
Overview
Aeona is one of the three healer options in the game. She heals by dealing damage and managing her unique "Stagger" mechanic, which delays a portion of her party’s incoming damage and allows her to convert it into healing instead. Playing Aeona is all about timing: building your Chrona ressource, keeping delayed "Stagger" damage under control, and choosing the right moment to spend your chrona to turn that stagger back into healing.
Strengths
- Powerful group-wide damage mitigation
- Exceptional tank healing
- Strong single-target damage output
- Strong crowd control via Intercession (AOE silence)
Weaknesses
- Stagger mechanic can be visually confusing
- Easy to fall behind in healing, if you don’t plan ahead
- Limited healing when there’s nothing to hit
Aeona Cheat Sheet
Stat Priority
Intellect > Crit > Haste > Expertise > Spirit
Note: Secondary stats have diminishing returns. The more of a stat you stack, the less each additional point gives you, however this is less impactful in Season 3. See Stat Prio for more info.
Best In Slot Gear
- Bis Weapon: Elheryn's Guiding Sandglass
- BIS Legendary: Bands Of The Withering Shores
- Bis Relics: Sinbinding Stone + Ancient Wardstone
As the healer, you should generally be the first to consider running utility relics, since your stat and relic value usually matters less than your tank’s or DPS players’ damage-focused setups.
