Welcome to Method’s Gunde guide. I’m Walek, melee DPS-focused closed tester for Fellowship. And part of the 1st team to reach eternal in Early Access Seasons 1 & 2.

Overview
Gunde is a cooldown based Melee DPS who deals roughly half his damage directly with his abilities. The other half is dealt through Rend, a damage over time bleed effect that he applies with his abilities and uses as a resource to deal even more damage based on the amount of Rend stacks on his target(s). Rend stacks accumulate and fall off gradually, making timing and sequencing quite important to play Gunde well.
Strengths:
- Well rounded, with options to index into multiple profiles
- Consistent 30 sec mini burst damage windows
Weaknesses:
- Struggles dealing with spawned priority adds from bosses, however this can be played around and built for
- Most well rounded build struggles with priority damage, while priority damage build struggles a bit with raw output
Gunde Cheat Sheet
Best In Slot Gear
- BIS Weapon - Fateful Arms - The cooldown acceleration fated strike provides is very synergistic with Gunde's cooldown based kit.
- Relics - Bring the relics your party needs for the dungeon, usually that means Sinbinding Stone and another Relic of the parties choice.
- BIS Legendaries: Carver's Sinister Apron & Band Of The Bleeding Heart
Secondary Stat Priority
Grim Carve Build:
Haste > Expertise > Crit > Spirit
Prioritize haste followed by expertise and crit, and take no more than 10-15% spirit.
Heart Splitter Build:
Haste >>> Crit > Spirit > Expertise
Oathshatter has really strong synergy with both haste and crit. We focus on haste as much as absolutely possible, now followed by crit, again taking around 10-15% spirit. And avoiding expertise.
Spirit Bloodcraze Build:
Spirit > Haste > Expertise = Crit
This build wants as much feather generation as possible, to accomplish this we stack spirit up to around 50% followed by as much haste as possible and a low amount crit and expertise.
