This guide will help you learn everything you need to know to thrive while playing Mara.

Overview
Mara is a Melee DPS who utilizes a combo point builder/spender system to deal damage. She has strong damage cooldowns, utility, and mobility, making her a lot of fun to play. She has a bit of a skill floor and the largest skill ceiling in the game, so you will always have something to improve upon.
Strengths:
- High burst
- Best funnel in the game
- Excellent mobility
Weaknesses:
- Weak before unlocking key talent synergies at around 9 talent points
- Buff tracking is very important which can be challenging
- Mediocre damage outside of cooldown windows

Secondary Stat Priority
Malevolence build:
Expertise > Crit >>> Haste > Spirit
Expertise and Crit are the only 2 secondary stats Mara wants with this build
Hemotoxin build:
Expertise > Crit > Haste >>> Spirit
Expertise and Crit are also the best two stats for the Hemotoxin build, although you will want around 10% Haste on your character sheet, while still avoiding Spirit

- BIS Weapon - Fateful Dagger
- Alternative Weapon - Sahril's Reckoning
- Relics - Bring the relics your party needs for the dungeon, usually that means Sinbinding Stone and Humming Portalstone or Orb Of Shadows
