Introduction

Hey everyone, and welcome to the Silken Hollow guide for Fellowship’s Early Access release! In this guide I’ll be going over the abilities used by the trash mobs found inside, strategy tips and tricks for the boss encounter, as well as a recommended route that is both simple to execute and PUG friendly.

Some background on myself, my name is Tactyks and I am an avid M+ player in WoW, where I’ve achieved the 0.1% M+ title in every season it has existed. I also create Dungeon, Raid, and Tank guide content over on my YouTube and Twitch channels, so if that’s something you’re interested in make sure to stop by and say hi!

Dungeon Route

To adjust the route or build your own, use our Silken Hollow Route Planner.

Dungeon Trash

  • Occasionally these mobs will teleport to a random player and channel Stab Yer Face into them, make sure they get some extra healing and if possible use a CC to stop the channel.
  • Throw Knife targets the tank, beware of the additional damage intake.
  • On being hit these mobs will occasionally drop piles of gold on the ground that players can run over to gain a stacking damage buff, just beware that it also slows you!
  • This mob is immune to CC.
  • Bully Bash targets the tank, use a defensive if needed.
  • VAYR’S LEGACY: Make sure to interrupt the Together Stronk cast to prevent the 20% DR it applies to all nearby mobs.

After the initial few trash packs in the dungeon you’ll come across a fork in the road, where you’ll encounter some of the previously mentioned mobs as well as some new spider themed ones. Regardless of which side you choose you’ll encounter the same mob types, just in different pack compositions, and generally I recommend going down the right path.

  • On death these mobs explode, hatching 3 Spiderlings in the process which tanks just need to pick up.
  • Venom Bolt targets the tank, use spare interrupts on this cast.
  • VAYR’S LEGACY: Poisonado will chase your tank, applying stacks of Necrotic Venom to anyone hit. Tanks kite in melee while avoiding allies as best you can, and if you have a spare dispel use it to remove any stacks that may have gone out.
  • Heartstopper debuffs a random player, make sure you dispel this before it expires otherwise it deals a lethal hit of damage to the target.
  • This mob is immune to CC.
  • Beware of the large group hit and DoT in Bursting Blood and be ready with healing or defensives.
  • Razorlace Web shoots several puddles in a cone towards a random player, make sure you avoid them.
  • VAYR’S LEGACY: Make sure you interrupt or use a CC on every cast of Kidnap, and if it goes off be ready to run away if targeted.

Boss Strategy

After making your way through the dungeon you’ll find a web covered cave entrance, which immediately starts the final boss encounter once you jump into it.

For tanks you’ll want to watch out for the Fang Strike hit, making sure you always have a defensive running for when it casts. You’ll also need to be ready to pick up any of the spiders that spawn from Call Children, which summons several Spiderlings and then either a Rotheart Recluse or a Gravesnare Kidnapper, all of which have the same abilities as their trash equivalents..

Players will want to make sure they swap to these spawned adds ASAP, as if they’re alive when the Mother’s Milk channel begins they’ll become empowered, gaining increased damage and health. This channel also deals increasing group damage as the DoT it applies stacks up, so be ready with healing and defensives as needed. Mass Dispel relics are quite strong here as they’ll remove all stacks from your entire group. Note that when the Vayr’s Legacy affix is active, you’ll have to deal with an additional Rotheart Recluse or Gravesnare Kidnapper with each add set, so there will be more dispels and interrupts to stay on top of.

When it comes to area denial, there are 2 different types of it in this encounter. First is the puddle of spiders that is spawned when Call Children is cast, which slowly moves towards random players and needs to be avoided as it applies the Spider Swarm DoT to anyone it touches. Second is the Venom Spray frontal, which is similar to the Razorlace Web cast from earlier in the dungeon, shooting a series of circles in front of the boss. The main difference is this cast will repeat 3 times back-to-back-to-back, targeting a random player each time, so you’ll need to be ready to dodge the circles if they’re nearby.

Other than that, beware if you get picked by the Tethering Webs ability, as this will stun both debuffed players after a few seconds if they don’t break the web that connects them, which is done by just running far enough away from each other. On top of that, if you fail to break the tethers while Vayr’s Legacy is active then Vexira will jump to the stunned players and use Devour, dealing a large hit of damage that quickly becomes lethal as you move into higher level content, so it becomes extremely important you break the Tethering Webs ASAP.
